Ishus was a female Devaronian born in 50 BBY. She was a technician and original captain of the Erebos. She stood 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighed 130 pounds. She had white hair and blue eyes. She owned an amulet and a dagger, both made of bloodstone, as well as a suit of mimetic body armor and a stuffed animal named Mr. Weasel. She was said to have been a skilled cook, dancer, doctor, and biochemist. She had a number of pets, including two blarths, a shaupat, two gullipud, a pair of tookes, a fambaa hatchling, a polar land guppy named Guppehead, and some emebus eggs. She could speak twenty-seven languages.
Ishus was born to what was widely regarded as a powerful and wealthy family which funded her university studies of the sciences. She hoped to take her acquired knowledge abroad to explore beyond her homeworld and fulfill her curiosity. Her chance to do so came when a bounty hunter hired her to tutor an adopted Lupine child aboard the ship Erebos. She also served as doctor aboard the ship, and briefly as its captain, making use of her supposedly excellent organization skills. Her seemingly laid-back, happy-go-lucky attitude allowed her to get along with what she felt was the rough band of mercenaries.
