Greetings, my extra-galactic human brothers and sisters, I am Representative Syygan Xligio, ambassador to her most gracious majesty Queen Kírdá XXIX, omnipotent ruler of the Ingza people. I have come to negotiate opening relations between our two great peoples, the Ingza consider you our brothers and we would be honoured if you would open relations with her majesty
—Representative Syygan Xligio negotiating the opening of relations between the GFSS and Ingza

The Ingza were a Human people who were officially led by a Queen or a King, but in practice were led by the V'ei'ka. from the Ingza System which was located in the Foundary Region of the N'Akkiarl Galaxy.

Descended from the people of Earth, the Ingza had both Earthling and N'Akkiarlian blood in their veins. They used to rule the former Ingzan Commonwealth, an alliance of all the planets of the Ingza System which was led by Ingza, as well as the Ingzan-Bregaran Empire, an empire they jointly ran with their Bregaran allies, until they were taken over by the N'Akkiarlians after the N'Akkiarlian-Ingzan War of 32,854 BBY-32,851 BBY. After the Ingza were defeated the N'Akkiarlians took control of them, however the N'Akkiarlians allowed the monarchies of the Ingza to remain as puppet rulers. Despite being rulers of there people the Ingzan monarchs had to do whatever their N'Akkiarlian masters ordered them to, the N'Akkiarla treated the Ingza much better than most of their other conquered native races because the Ingza were part-N'Akkiarlian, the N'Akkiarla considered the Ingza to be their offspring, and were therefore much more relaxed with them.

The Ingza are a good servant race, they have a good military production sector, their shipyards have produced some great starships and robots, we could use them a lot, they could also be useful in our colonial native military brigades.
—The N'Akkiarlian King on the Ingza

Despite suffering heavy losses during the war some of the Ingza didnt hate the N'Akkiarlians like the Jussk'Ravgarok did. As the decades and centuries of N'Akkiarlian rule went by Ingza grew to think of themselves as well cared for children of the N'Akkiarlian Star Empire, they thought that the N'Akkiarlians were like their parents, they knew what was best for them. The Ingza were almost as loyal to their N'Akkiarlian overlords as the extremely-loyal U'k'r'zedolgeiekoo. After several millenia of occupation the Ingza bowed down and worshipped their N'Akkiarlian masters and revered the N'Akkiarlian King as a god. However there faith and obedience to the V'ei'ka was still just as strong as it had been before the occupation.

Our N'Akkiarlian masters treat us well, just because they own us doesnt mean they treat us badly, we're well cared for children!
—An Ingzan speaking about his N'Akkiarlian rulers

The signature dress of the Ingza was the Ts'shúkí and Kúshózí, the Ts'shúkí was a cloth gown which was worn over a dress, shirt and trousers (Kúshózí) or another gown.

Biology and appearance[]

The Ingza were a baseline human race and were biologically and anatomically the same as their fellow baseline human cousins in other galaxies, leading some to speculate that they had been brought to the Ingza System by an ancient alien species, possibly the ancient N'Akkiarla, from another galaxy, many Ingzans believed that their ancestors were brought to the Ingza system from a planet called "Earth" by ancient aliens, many Ingzans wish they could find Earth, a common Ingzan nickname for Earth was "Múthe Úrth" (Mother Earth). Ingzans were of both Earthling and N'Akkiarlian blood, in 50,000 BBY N'Akkiarlians visited Earth, during their time there they directly influenced the early Humans by reproducing with the Human females, resulting in all descendant Humans on Earth have some N'Akkiarlian genes.

Mother Earth is the planet our ancient forefathers came from, we Ingza are of Earthling blood. I really wish we could find Earth, and have a "family reunion" with our Earthling brethren.
—An Ingzan on being asked about the relation between Earth and the Ingza.

The long-time popular theory that the Ingza were the children of Earth gained currency amongst anthropologists and scientists when analysis between Ingzan and Earthling DNA revealed a 99.8% match, the extreme similarity of the DNA resulted in the theory that despite over 40 millennia over being separated from their close Earthling cousins the Ingza remained almost full-blooded Earthlings, at least on a DNA level, the evidnce was seen by most Ingzans as final proof that their ancient theories and beliefs were indeed the truth.

This DNA test is proof of what we have long believed, that we are indeed Earthlings, we may have a different culture from our brothers back home, but the blood that flows through our veins is Earthling, Earth is who we are.
—An Ingzan on the analysis of DNA between Earthlings and the Ingza

Like other humans they had hair of many colours but blond, brown and black were the most common colours, this turned white or grey during aging. Like most human races females almost always had longer hair than males. They lived on average several decades longer than there cousins in other galaxies, the average life expectancy was 130 but one, Okki Uukagora, managed to reach 160 years old. some said this was because Ingzan medicine was so good.

History[]

The earliest documents about Ingzan life are from around 40,000 BBY. At this time the Ingza were little more than tribes. After several millenia the Ingzan language and writing evolved into more advanced forms and the tribes began to settle, forming countries. Then around the year 38,288 BBY the Ingza managed to develop space travel, disease and other social health problems had largely been dealt with by this point and Ingza Prime was united the country of Ingza, a planet-covering supercountry. After developing space travel the Ingza colonised the other worlds of the Ingza System: Hzajka, Avolorta, Vleems and Zjikia. During colonisation colonists moved to these planets, over the years they became the subraces of the Ingza, these were the Hzajkan, Avorlortan, Vleemsi and the Zjikian, all of these subraces were brethren of the Ingzan race as they were descendants of the Ingzan colonists..

A few millenia later in 33,043 BBY they discovered the Bregaro species, with home they shared the Ingza system. The Bregaro had also achieved space flight and had colonised the Bregaro Triple Planetary Chain forming the Empire of the Bregaro which as headed by the Imperial Government-Commander. The Bregaro were the first non-human alien species encountered by the Ingza, they became good friends almost as soon as they had discovered each other, forming the First Bregaran-Ingzan alliance.

The Ingza decided that millenia before achieving full sapience an extremely powerful extra-galactic race had brought them to the Ingza System and had spread them through-out the system, each group forgetting or not knowing about there brothers on the other planets and created independant societies unaware that there people had relatives on other planets. The evidence available meant that this theory was the most likely explanation. Theories said this ancient race brought their ancestors from a planet called "Earth". Many saw their language, which had many words similar to that of Earth English, as a way to look at their Earth ancestry and heritage.

We are children of Earth, we were brought to the Ingza system from Earth by an ancient race! I wish we could meet our brothers on Earth!
—an Ingzan who believed Ingzans were taken from Earth to the Ingzan system by an unknown alien race

After discovering other members of their people on other planets the Ingza formed and alliance with each of them and created the Ingzan Commonwealth. The Commonwealth ruled the Ingza System for several centuries before the N'Akkiarlians arrived in 32,854 BBY.

The Ingzans knew that the N'Akkiarlians were sweeping through the galaxy and were battle-hardened after spending the past 96 years fighting wars and putting down rebellions until most of the galaxy was under there total control, they had heard that the N'Akkiarlians had slaughtered some nations which had stood against them and began to worry about what would happen if they were invaded. When they invaded the empire of their Bregaran neighbours they sent support to their Bregaran, eventually however the Bregaro were subjugated and enslaved.

Despite worrying about a N'Akkiarlian massacre of their people the Ingzans decided that death was much better than living as slaves and increased the strength of the Royal Navy of Ingza and the Royal Ingzan Army.

Ingzan Society[]

Politics[]

Ingzan politics began simply as tribal chieftains and there leftenants. Around 39,700 BBY there was a war in which the different ruling families fought to be dominant, the powerful Zerego clan winning the war and beginning the unification of the Ingzan nobility with themselves as the ruling family. Several centuries later one of their servant families, the Áátorí family, led a rebellion against their Zeregan masters and removed them from the throne.

Over the millenia the Ingza grew wiser and began to invent a lot more. By 33,288 BBY they had invented space travel, had eradicated most diseases and were colonising other worlds by this time. They met other identical people on the planets they had colonised and formed an alliance the Ingzan Commonwealth. The Commonwealth was officially headed by the Ingzan sovereign but in fact the actual ruler was the V'ei'ka, the head of the Ingzan religion. This was because the sovereign bowed down to the V'ei'ka so the V'ei'ka was the mistress of the sovereign so the sovereign's power was hers, she could do whatever she wanted and the sovereign had to consult her on all of there decisions.

Every Ingzan in the Commonwealth worshipped the V'ei'ka, as she was a living goddess and the physical incarnation of the mother of everything, V'ei'ka herself. The people genuinly believed they had to be owned by the V'ei'ka, they felt proud to be her obedient slaves.

The Great One is the mortal form of the mother of everything! We are her little children, our mother knows whats best for us, we don't question her! We obedient serve our dear mother!
—An Ingzan speaking about his mistress, the V'ei'ka

When the Ingza first made sentient robots there was political debate over how robots were treated, it was decided that unlike non-sentient robots AI robots, as sentient beings, should be treated like people rather than possessions and slaves. Robots were equal to their creators, however a few Ingzans remained wary of their mechanical "children". This wariness was felt by some sentient robots as Anti-Droid sentiment. Respect shown to robots was was damaged for a little while after rogue Exterminator-class X-33's rebellion.

I don't understand, why do some creators remain wary about us? We are loyal children to our creators, we would not harm our creators in any way!
—An Exterminator-class war robot speaking to an Ingzan about wariness some organics show towards robots

The national bird of the Ingza was the Ingzan Blood Eagle Íngzan Blúd Éagle, so named because it was maroon coloured. Another national bird was the Ingzan King Eagle Íngzan Kinigo Éagle, also known as the Ingzan Royal Eagle which comes from it's name King Eagle, thw King Eagle was the largest Ingzan Eagle and was so named as it was therefore considered the King of the Ingzan Eagles.

The name Éagle popped up all over in the form of ships, fighters, trains, bombers, cars etc etc as Eagles were prominent in Ingzan culture.

Alliances and foreign relations[]

First N'Akkiarlian Star Empire[]
  • The Earthling ancestors of the Ingza first made contact with the N'Akkiarla in 41,100 BBY, but the N'Akkiarla had visited Earth thousands of years earlier, in about 50,000 BBY, during which time they directly influenced the development of the new Human species there by reproducing with the Human females, giving all descendant Humans some N'Akkiarlian genes. The N'Akkiarlians informed the Earthlings of their shared heritage and began relations with the early kingdom of Earth, at which time the Zeregan Kingdom was the most powerful. In 40,000 BBY a natural disaster occured on Earth and the N'Akkiarlians took a large portion of the Earthlings and moved them to the Ingza system.

During the same year the N'Akkiarlian Civil War broke out as the Outer Colonies part of the First N'Akkiarlian Star Empire attempted to become self-governing from the N'Akkiarlian Kingdom Commonwealth and become the First N'Akkiarlian Confederacy, the First N'Akkiarlian Confederacy was defeated, but the Kingdom Commonwealth did concede some rebel demands, resulting in the founding of the Second N'Akkiarlian Star Empire. The Ingza supported the Confederacy, and the N'Akkiarlian masters of the Ingza system defected to the Confederacy, bringing the Ingza system under Confederate control, many Ingzans served under their N'Akkiarlian masters in the Confederate army.

Third N'Akkiarlian Star Empire[]
We are well-cared for children of the N'Akkiarlian Star Empire, the N'Akkiarlians both are our guardians and our forefathers, they protect us like children. We were born to them, a poetic Ingzan name for the N'Akkiarla is "Old Fathers", referring to their role in the creation of our race.
—An Ingzan on the N'Akkiarlian Star Empire
  • 250 years after the N'Akkiarla had left Ingza Prime during the Great Galactic Plague of 33,200 BBY the Ingzans once more heard from the N'Akkiarlians when they began their conquest of the galaxy in 32,950 BBY, first contact was during the N'Akkiarlian conquest of Ingzan Yzaaka. Was a colony of the Third N'Akkiarlian Star Empire from 32,851 BBY to 2,472 BBY. Isolation from the N'Akkiarlians for another 100 years after achieving independence from their former masters during the Ingzan War of Independence, relations re-established in 2,370 BBY and became allies. The Treaty of Ingza City made a N'Akkiarlian-Ingzan Alliance official and they were officially allies, however Ingzans weren't required to assist the N'Akkiarlians in defending and maintaining order in their empire. N'Akkiarlians gave Ingzans intergalactic travelling technology as a token of friendship. Relations were strengthed by several N'Akkiarlians kings taking Ingzan queens as wives and having children with them. They were both members of the Imperial Tripartite Alliance. Because of the direct influence the N'Akkiarla had in the birth of the Ingza race, they were often referred to as the "Old Ones" or the "Old Fathers" by the Ingza.
Galactic Federation of Sentient Species/Coruscant Republic[]
  • After receiving intergalactic travel technology from their N'Akkiarlian allies and hearing about the war between the N'Akkiarlians and the "Galactic Federation of Sentient Species" they decided to open relations with them. In 1,023 ABY Queen Kírdá XXIX sent Representative Syygan Xligio and some assistants aboard a diplomatic barge to open relations with the GFSS.

The GFSS were understandably weary of the extra-galactic visitors at first but Syygan convinced them the Ingza were only seeking an alliance and friendship. The GFSS Senate requested an audience with Queen Kírdá, Kírdá spoke with the Senate and a vote of an alliance between the GFSS and the Ingza was passed. To celebrate their new alliance Queen Kírdá marched down the Avenue of the Core Founders whilst flanked by her Exterminator VIII-class war robot Elite Guards and with her Royal Battalion lined up on parade down either side of the avenue to sign the GFSS-Ingzan Alliance document at the Great Door to the Senate Building. Her celebratory parade was watched by thousands of Coruscanti who lined the Senate Plaza and had come to see the leader of their new allies. When the GFSS was dissolved 10 years later in 1,033 ABY and was replaced by the Coruscant Republic the alliance was updated to be the Coruscant Republic-Ingzan Alliance. The Ingza were very good friends with the GFSS/Coruscant Republic. As a token of friendship Queen Kírdá gave the GFSS some Exterminator-class war robots.

Their "Kuat Drive Yards" produce some truly beautiful ships! I am the commander of the Kysa Lúv, a Kysa-class battleship based on their ancient "Pellaeon-class star destroyer", and she is a beauty! I am proud to be her commander!
—Ingzan 4th Fleet Admiral Úká Kíází on Kuat Drive Yards

The Ingza purchased millenia-old star destroyer designs from KDY (Kuat Drive Yards) and a licence to build them, they built the Kysa-klás batarosép, which looked like the Pellaeon-class star destroyer, due to be being built to Pellaeon-class designs.

They also bought designs and a licence to build the Imperious-class star destroyer from Mon Calamari Shipyards, which had built the 1000-year old Imperious-class star destroyer, which became the V'ei'ka-klás batarosép, the locally-produced Ingzan version of the Imperious-class, using Ingzan engines, weapons and so on.

Though the Pellaeon and Imperious were technically obsolete they were perfect battleships of the Ingzan-Bregaran Empire's Imperial and Tripartite/Triumvirate Navies.

Empire of the Bregaro[]
  • The avian Bregaro species were considered by the Ingza their closest friends, and had been good friends with the Ingza since they had first discovered each other in 33,043 BBY and founded a union in 33,040 BBY and an empire in 33,025 BBY. The Ingza supported their Bregaran brothers and allies during their battle to remain free, and later supported the pro-independence riots and Bregaran freedom fighters helped the Ingza during the N'Akkiarlian-Ingzan War. After the Ingza had achieved independence they helped push for Bregaran independence, after the Bregaro were freed they reformed the Ingzan-Bregaran Confederation and the Ingzan-Bregaran Empire and continued trading war materials and financial support with each other.
House of Dezendyan[]
Heshti[]
  • The planet Heshti, home of the Heshtian race, has long been a close ally of the Ingza, the friendship between the Ingza and the Heshtians dated back to the Heshtian-Ingzan Alliance of 32,750 BBY.
Earth[]
We are family, we were separated from you, our Earthling brethren, by ancient aliens because they believed our planet was doomed, for many thousands of years we have wanted to meet with you again, and we're glad we found you.
—An Ingzan to an Earthling
  • Earth was the original homeworld of the Ingza, their ancestors were taken from Earth to the Ingza system by the N'Akkiarla to save them from a natural disaster. When the Ingzans finally located Earth they immediately opened relations with it and formed an alliance. Because the shared blood of the Ingza and Earthlings, the Ingzan-Earth Alliance was one of the strongest of the Ingzas' alliances, with both parties deeply committed to the alliance.
The Ingzan-Earth Alliance is one of our greatest and most beloved alliances, our alliance to Earth is special not only because of our mutual respect for each other and our shared beliefs, but because of our blood, we share blood with our Earthling siblings, we have Earthling blood in our veins, we are their children, such a close bond makes for an unbreakable alliance.
—An Ingzan on the strength of the Ingzan-Earth Alliance

Religion[]

Behold, i am the V'ei'ka! I am the mortal form of our mother, V'ei'ka, creator of everything!
—A V'ei'ka introduces herself to her people

At first, there was no single mainstream Ingzan religion, each Ingzan family/tribe had there own gods and goddesses and religious myths and beliefs, e.g. the Zerego family believed in V'ei'ka and that she created everything and sacrificed her eyesight to let living things see. Whilst the Yásíyá family believed in Méróló and that she created everything, and used her special ropes to keep the Ingza bound together in relative harmony.

Despite the beliefs of the Yásíyá family the Ingzan family tribes were not always harmonious to each other, there were quite a few religious wars over arguments about deities and trying to make there own deity supreme over the others.

V'ei'ka, Méróló, Górsgán, Bánádenkán, Jújúzó, P'al'ke'ne're and so on, so many gods and goddesses were worshipped by our ancestors, each family had there own god and there own religious beliefs, this obviously made it impossible to create a single Ingzan religion since each tribe would refuse to abandon there own deities and religious beliefs and there were quite a few religious wars with many family believing there own beliefs to be the truth and there deity to be supreme. Eventually the Zerego family managed to break this around 40,000 BBY, when they became royalty. They spent many years turning the other families to there own beliefs.
—An Ingzan historian on the pre-unified Ingzan religious beliefs and the unification of religion

The post-40,000 BBY mainstream Ingzan religion was a bitheistic religion which led by the V'ei'ka, a blinded woman who was the mortal representative of the blind goddess V'ei'ka, the creator of the universe. Ingzan religion says V'ei'ka pierced her eyes with a special mask to ensure her children (living things) could see, it was said that if she hadnt blinded herself then all life would be eternally blind, V'ei'ka sacrified her eyesight and endured the horrific agony of piercing her own eyes to ensure her creations could see.

The V'ei'ka was chosen by her steadfast devotion to her ruler and religion, only the most devoted candidate was chosen, only upper-class women aged between 20-30 could apply to be the V'ei'ka. Upon being chosen the would-be V'ei'ka would spend 5 years of her life with her family (or whomever she chose) living in absolute luxury and she would ready herself for being made the next V'ei'ka. When the 5 years came to end the V'ei'ka would be taken to the Shrine of V'ei'ka, which was found inside the Temple of V'ei'ka and have the Mask of V'ei'ka applied to her face, which would pierce her eyes and she would then be the new V'ei'ka.

Once getting over the mind-numbing pain she would be taken out of the Temple to introduce herself to her people and sovereign as the new V'ei'ka, the living form of the goddess V'ei'ka. After introducing herself the sovereign would walk in front of the V'ei'ka and bow down on there hands and knees at her feet, showing that the sovereign worshipped her, after watching the sovereign bow down the people would bow down to there great ruler, showing they worshipped her, and the ceremony would be finished.

After the ceremony she would be taken to her palace (the Palace of V'ei'ka) where she would live in luxury for the rest of her life and would lead the entire Ingzan religion. Because she was the leader of the Ingzan religion her power and the respect she received from her people rivalled that of the soverign, even the sovereign bowed down to her, the only living person in the entire universe the sovereign worshipped (the only other person the sovereign worshipped was the goddess V'ei'ka herself). During the time of Ingzan Commonwealth the V'ei'ka was the de facto ruler of the Ingzan Commonwealth, the sovereign was only the de jure ruler, whilst the sovereign had tremendous power and respect the sovereign bowed down to the V'ei'ka so the V'ei'ka was the one who held the actual power over Ingzan society, if she wanted to a V'ei'ka could abolish the monarchy and rule by herself, she could also form a mammoth militia to take down the monarchy if they refused to obey her command to abdicate.

As the physical manifestation of V'ei'ka the V'ei'kawas the "mother" of living things and the people called her "mother", whilst she called her loyal subjects her "children". The new V'ei'ka would be chosen when the old one died, the V'ei'ka blinding ritual was abolished when the N'Akkiarlians conquered the Ingzan Commonwealth, who thought it was a barbaric ritual, however the V'ei'ka lived on and was still just as respected and worshipped by her people, they just didnt go through the blinding ritual.

The last ever V'ei'ka to be blinded for around 30 millenia was a 26 year old woman called Kysa Zerego, she underwent the blinding ritual 12 years before the N'Akkiarlians invaded and conquered the Ingza System.

She rallied her fellow Ingzan brothers and sisters to defend there homes and freedom to the end and that V'ei'ka would be happy that they were defending there liberty and freedom, her rallying cries were an inspiration to the Ingzan people.

After the N'Akkiarlians conquered the Ingzan Commonwealth and abolished the blinding ritual Kysa became the last of her kind. After the N'Akkiarlian conquest she ruled for a further 86 years as the V'ei'ka before she died in 32,765 BBY. She was buried in the Tomb of the V'ei'ka with her predecessors and was signficant as being the last ever V'ei'ka to undergo the blinding ritual in Ingzan history. After her death her position as the V'ei'ka and the way she stirred her people's spirit to never falter in there fight against N'Akkiarlian oppression and imperialism caused her to be made the official "owner" of her people.

When they died the V'ei'ka was buried alongside her predecessors in the special Tomb of the V'ei'ka, a number of catacombs in tunnels deep below the Temple of V'ei'ka, and would go to Ingzan heaven where they would look after there people from above, they would also meet and assist new arrivals to heaven. They would also meet the goddess V'ei'ka herself in heaven. The tomb was a sacred place where the people and sovereign honoured there omnipotent mistresses of days gone by, the penalty from breaking into and ransacking the tomb was to be blinded with the Mask of V'ei'ka, not only did this cause terrific agony to the victim but it also meant that they were abused and loathed by the people for disturbing the rest of there respected leaders.

I am the V'ei'ka, I'm a goddess, i'm the mortal form of the creator of everything! Kneel down and worship me, your goddess!
—Kysa to a N'Akkiarlian

After the N'Akkiarlians left the blinding ceremony was revived but was not used as frequently as it had been before, instead it was used occasionally but the blinded V'ei'ka had returned after not being seen alive in around 30,000 years.

The V'ei'ka was advised by the B'Kekara, the Religous Advisor, the B'Kekara advised his mistress on religous matters. Unlike the V'ei'ka the B'Kekara could be either sex and some were siblings of the V'ei'ka, which was probably because some V'ei'ka's used their power to get their family members into positions of power.

When Ingzan society began and the position of V'ei'ka was established there was no limit on how many V'ei'kas there could be at any one time, theoretically there could be thousands of V'ei'kas however after the War of the two V'ei'ka's of 37,183 BBY it was written in Ingzan religous law that there could only be one V'ei'ka at any one time, this was to prevent another religous civil war.

The V'ei'ka was also called Gúreit Óne (Great One).

Like most Human religions, the Ingzan religion had a Heaven and a Hell. There was also the spiritual plane of the living world where ghosts resided alongside their living cousins. Whilst many Ingzans feared an appearance of a ghost many didn't, thinking of ghosts just as ex-living people.

What is to be afraid of? Ghost are simply like us except they have left their material bodies, the only difference between we and our ghostly brothers and sisters are that they are ex-living. Just because they are dead doesn't make them evil or nasty! They may not want to leave, they may want to tell us something, they may want to help us! Don't fear them!
—An Ingzan who wasn't afraid of ghosts

This spiritual plane was sometimes called "Middle Realm" or the "Ghost/Ghostly Realm", it was were V'ei'ka kept those who had only sinned a little until their punishment sentence was up and they were allowed into heaven. This realm could be entered at any time by spirits in heaven who descended from heaven into the living world to see their living relatives and friends. Those from hell could also ascend into this realm to cause trouble to the living, trying to drag them down to hell. Here demons and demonessess preyed upon the living with sexual intent in order to feel sexual energy again, they also did this to recruit more members into the "Legions of Hell", sex with a demon was looked upon with disgust by V'ei'ka and damaged the victim's chances of being able to enter heaven, demonic rape was accepted by V'ei'ka as being beyond the victim's control, so she let the victims of demonic rape stay in Middle Realm for a short while before entering heaven. However she would send victims of repeated sexual encounters with demons which had clearly been lusted for to hell.

The Sovereign also underwent religous ceremonies, when the new sovereign had been crowned the sovereign would under the Ingzan crowning chant ceremony some Ingzan monks would surround the sovereign and sing chants, asking V'ei'ka to recognise this new sovereign as a monarch, and to give the right to rule accordingly. These chants were quite fast and were sung in Zoxkezox, the practically extinct language from before the Ingzan language to a background of drums and other percussion intruments. This chanting ceremony was ancient and had already gone extinct 200 years before the birth of Kysa Zerego. However 100 years after Kysa Zerego was born the ceremony was revived.

For some time there was a breakaway dark sect of the Ingzan religion, these dark sect (known simply as the Dark Religion to the Ingzans) followed very loosely similar beliefs as the mainstream Ingzan religion, however they worshipped V'ei'ka as a goddess of death and one of ruthlessness, sending those who displeased her into the fires of Hell. This sect also practiced Necromancy, for example the Ingzan Ghost Summoning Ritual, members of the sect were considered damned by V'ei'ka by most religious Ingzans.

Dark religion members, don't worship the great mother as a goddess of death and ruthlessness, for she is not those things! She is a goddess of kindness! Return to the good religion, leave this one of darkness!
—Kysa Zerego to members of the dark sect

The other Ingzan godddess was Méróló, the Goddess of Unity, the mortal representation of Méróló was the Méróló, like the goddess she represented the mortal representative of Méróló wore the Ropes of Unity around her neck and limbs to symbolise her job of keeping the Ingza bound together (as if by rope) in unity. The Ropes of Unity were sacred, and were said to have the power to keep the Ingza unified, they seemed to work, for even whilst being a feudal state comprised of many ruling families all trying to most important to the overall sovereign the Ingza remained united to their brothers and sisters of other regions.

On her 22nd birthday the Méróló underwent the harmless Ropes of Unity Attachment Ritual, in which the sacred ropes were attached to her neck, wrists and ankles, to show she was the mortal representaton of Méróló.

Méróló was the first child to be born from V'ei'ka, however unlike mortal life Méróló was born with vision because she was a godly being, so she didn't need her mother to blind herself to be able to see. Since her mother created all life and was the goddess of nearly everything Méróló was considered a "less important" goddess than her mother.

I am the Méróló, mortal repesentative of great goddess Méróló, it my job to keep my people united, through the sacred Ropes of Unity attached to my body my Ingzan brothers and sisters remain united!
—A Méróló, representative of Méróló, the Goddess of Unity, explaining who she is and what she does

The first Méróló was a woman called Úyúló Mírísá, she became the Méróló around 40,000 BBY when the unified official Ingzan religion was founded, because she lived around 40,000 BBY she wore a white Ts'shúkí before the white Ts'shúkí became a symbol of the dead and taboo for the living to wear it.

Despite V'ei'ka and Méróló being the only two recongised goddessess of the post-40,000 BBY Ingzan religion not all Ingzans worshipped them, a few formed there own sects of religion who worshipped there own family gods, like the Disciples of Górsgán, most of whom's members were of the Békén family, who worshipped the lizard god Górsgán.

Alcoholic drinks[]

Phóshká is rocket fuel! Don't drink that on its own, youll be setting off toxic alerts!
—An Ingzan on Phóshká

Ingzans liked a drink, they drank cider, beer, ale, wine and all sorts of other alcoholic drink, their strongest drink was Phóshká, this was an ultra-strong spirit which was 190 proof, it was commonly called the Toxic waste because it was so strong. Because of its strength it usually wasn't drunk by itself, it was most often mixed with other drinks in very small quantities, however the more adventurous drinkers would sometimes drink it in shots, to drink a shot of neat Phóshká and stay standing was considered one of the ultimate Ingzan drinking challenges, because of its strength and numbing capabilities it was sometimes used as a painkiller, especially before the introduction of anesthetic and painkillers, it wasn't uncommon for a V'ei'ka to be drunk on Phóshká before their Blinding Ritual, in order to numb at least some of the extreme pain the ritual caused them.

Ingzans were also quite big ales and beer drinkers, they had numerous different makes of ale and beer, local speciality ales and mass market ales, these ales were all part of the Ingzan Ale family.

Measurements[]

The system of measurements used by the Ingza was the Sáróká measurement system.

—The pronunciation of the above phrase

The traditional language of the Ingza was Ingzan, Ingzan could trace it roots back to Ancient Zeregan and N'Akkiarlian, from when the N'Akkiarlia colonised Earth around 50,000 BBY. Ancient Ingzan developed around 40,000 BBY, as Earthlings were taught N'Akkiarlian by their N'Akkiarlian masters, Ingzan was considered a mix of Ancient Zeregan and N'Akkiarlian.

Ancient Ingzan was largely replaced by standard Ingzan around 35,000 BBY, however speakers of Ancient Ingzans continued to exist for many years after.

When the N'Akkiarlians took over the Ingza system they enforced the use of N'Akkiarlian as the primary language and schools were made to put priority on learning N'Akkiarlian rather than Ingzan, so Ingzan took damage and was nearly made extinct but the N'Akkiarlian King at the time allowed Ingzan schools to make it a compulsory subject and Ingzan was saved from extinction, after the N'Akkiarlians left Ingza the native language flourished and went through a renaissance, when the Ingza opened relations with the Galactic Federation of Sentient Species many humans saw how similar the language of their Ingzan brothers was to Galactic Standard Basic and decided to learn it, When the Ingza joined the GFSS there were already quite a few non-native speakers, Ingza joining the GFSS meant many more took up Ingzan.

Many Ingzan words and phrases sounded a bit like their Galactic Basic equivalents, but were spelt differently, however some were completely different e.g. Frigate was Ávákóné. Vowels with marks were long vowels whilst those without were short, e.g. i was pronounced ih, whilst í was pronounced ee. The dipthong ei was pronounced ay. The language was said to be quite easy for Galactic Basic speakers to learn as many of the words sounded similar to Galactic Basic words.

As many of the words sounded very similar to Earth English, many Ingzans believed that their language was some evidence that their ancestors had come from Earth, many saw their language as a way to look back at their Earth heritage.

When a husband took the surname of his wife so did his siblings, e.g. Yko Fogrena was the brother of Kizio Fogrena, when Kizio became Kizio Zerego he became Yko Zerego.

Behind the scenes[]

Kysa Zerego is visually based on the Blinded Maiden of Project Zero, also her being blinded by a special mask is inpired by the Blinding Ritualof Project Zero.
