Ingvor Gord was a Human female from Ennth. She was born in 7 ABY.

Biography[]

Childhood[]

Ingvor was the firstborn of a set of fraternal, opposite-sex twins on the planet of Ennth, shortly before one of its octoannual environmental catastrophes. In accordance with the settlers' customs for firstborns of twins her parents gave her up for adoption and arranged for her to live with a family in a more stable location, with the intent to find her again as a teenager and allow her to make the choice whether or not to return to her homeworld.

However, her parents died in the next volcanic burst, eight years later, and all contact between her birth family and new family was lost, except for the fact that her twin brother Zekk knew her name and that she once existed. He did not, however, go looking for her, as she now had no family to return to. He disappeared on Coruscant and Ingvor was told little about her original family.

Ingvor was Force-sensitive, and able to use her power in small ways, but she was not gifted enough to be an obvious candidate for entrance into the the Jedi Academy. Her teenage rebellion led her to Nal Hutta, and it was sink-or-swim time for the runaway. She swam—barely.

Bounty Hunting[]

Ingvor became a bounty hunter and completed just enough jobs to keep her ship running and obtain minimal food, clothing, and weapons. Around 29 ABY, shortly after the end of the Stellar Imperial War, a small-time drug smuggler named Dyar Leeds ran afoul of his employer and his capture commanded a small bounty—too small to attract the more competent hunters, but more than enough to get Ingvor's attention.

Dyar managed to slip away from her several times on Nal Hutta before hiding out on Coruscant, though, and there he was temporarily protected by forming a friendship with Anakin Solo. He managed to stay mostly hidden, and difficult to catch while out and about.

Ingvor caught up with him in early 30 ABY, on Yavin IV at Jaina Solo's wedding to Zekk. Zekk had finally tracked his sister down and invited her to the wedding, and she, to everyone's surprise, did show up, although characteristically did not RSVP. She promised to leave Dyar alone until the wedding and reception were over, although he got away yet again.

Ingvor's career did not improve much over the next seven years. Only when she honed her Force skills a bit more was she able to bring Dyar to justice, a few months after a fistfight between Dyar and Anakin that had them severing their ties to each other and parting ways. She hung around the Solo family, occasionally as a friend and distant family member, occasionally as a minor pest.

43 ABY[]

Man: “Now that we've confirmed how you're able to track people through that mystic power of the Jedi, we are offering this job to you, and a few other people with longer track records. You should be able to find Tenel Ka with this power.
Ingvor: “I could, but it's pretty hard.
Man: “All you have to do is kill her, and three hundred money stacks are yours.
Ingvor: “What the hell? Tenel Ka is practically my sister. Well, she’s my twin brother’s wife’s twin brother’s ex-wife.
— Ingvor Gord and an unidentified man

In 43 ABY, Ingvor was offered a very lucrative job by operatives of the former Hapan Queen Mother, Ta'a Chume: the assassination of Queen Mother Tenel Ka. Ta'a Chume was not aware that Tenel Ka's twelve-year-old daughter by ex-husband Jacen Solo was still alive, and in fact living with Jacen on Coruscant.

When threatened with death if she did not accept the offer, she reluctantly agreed, but it was only for show; her next step was to immediately report the events to Jacen. Jacen, Ingvor, and Anakin immediately left for Hapes, where Allana was currently visiting Tenel Ka, along with four other young Jedi trainees&mdashBen Skywalker; Nilla and Verayan Solo, the children of Jaina and Zekk; and Xander Horn, the son of Tahiri Veila-Horn and Valin Horn. Jaina and Zekk also followed them.

They weren't the only ones. Boba Fett got to Hapes at the same time that the Jedi did. He was fatally wounded, but while he lay dying and Tenel Ka and Allana attempted to board Jaina's escape shuttle, Fett was able to squeeze off one last shot, the one that killed Tenel Ka. Ben Skywalker borrowed Ingvor's blaster to finish off Fett; Ingvor herself was busy tending to Zekk, who was badly injured in the initial fight.

Ingvor's ship, the Hadron Boson, had a faulty hyperdrive that was in desperate need of attention, but she had no money with which to pay for parts. She sat alone at the spaceport in a foul mood when Allana walked up to her. Jacen had pressured Allana into returning to Hapes to take the crown, but Allana did not want to. She remedied this by running away and trying to bribe Ingvor to take her to the Djo family on Dathomir. Ingvor almost agreed, but knew that Jacen would eventually find her out, and refused, even when offered the rainbow gem that was once part of Tenel Ka's lightsaber as payment.

Allana, undeterred, TKed Ingvor's stun blaster out of its holster and drew it to herself, and struck Ingvor with a bolt. Allana then left the gem, stole the Hadron Boson, and attempted to fly to Dathomir herself. She made it in one piece, although the ship was destroyed shortly after Allana's faulty landing.

Ingvor, when she came to, ratted Allana out to Anakin; Jacen had already discovered Allana's runaway note and gone off to search for her. Jacen eventually found Allana on Dathomir and brought her home. Ingvor returned the rainbow gem, but kept the Rebellion-era medal that Allana had originally given her as well as a small piece of precious metal from an unknown source. She was able to sell these items and buy a new ship, and she continued bounty hunting until her death in 73 ABY.

Behind the scenes[]

Ingvor Gord was inspired by the parody character Elle of Ennth. Elle was a self-insert character and partially a joke, although Ingvor is far enough removed from the original concept that she and Elle have very little in common beyond Force ability, appearance, and origin.

Ingvor was intended to take a minor comic relief role in the novel-length fan fiction story, Embers, a tongue-in-cheek reflection of the author. Her role expanded and changed and she developed her own personality, and the character she most closely resembles, in personality matters alone, is a younger Han Solo. She became a good-hearted rogue who pretends not to be so good. Unlike Han, she never turned around to take a "respectable" job, and she never married nor had children.
