The 1st Storm Commando Corps of the Galactic Empire, or Imperial Storm Commando Corps, or just Storm Commandos, for short, was an organization of elite operatives who specialized in quick raids and assaults, as well as assassination. These units wore black scout trooper and black clone trooper armor, which stroke fear into the hearts of their enemies. This was the Galactic Empire's response to the many Rebel Alliance victories. Storm Commandos worked closely with the Inquisitors and Imperial Commandos and SpecOps. This organization was highly independent and operated outside of the Imperial Army's chain of commands. These units participated in many battles. After the final fall of Palpatine, they worked for Emperor Roan Fel. Storm commandos are rivals to the Imperial Special Operations Command operatives.
Overview[]
The Imperial Storm Commandos are a highly elite unit. For success on missions, these units had an enormous weapons arsenal, many gadgets, and explosives, along with sleek black (commanders' armor also has red) armor. Some units had white or grey dust colored armor. Unlike many stormtrooper legions, these troops were immediate response units.
Weapons and Armor[]
Armor: These units have different types of armor. Standard color is black, but commanders' armor has red, recruit armor is tan and white, while some is green. There is a specialized kind of armor which these units work in toxic or poisonous environments. Some sets of armor have secret hidden weapons.
Storm Commando recruits wear tan colored armor, though some wear green.
Weapons:The Storm Commandos have always been known to be the Galaxy's best weapon users. They have an enormous arsenal which contains melee, long range, and short range weapons, but also many are trained the ancient art of Teräs Käsi, an unarmed combat fighting form. All Storm Commandos are trained to use vibroblades also. Weapons include:

These troopers also use many vehicles. Storm Commandos mostly utilize small and fast vehicles, though they do have some heavy walkers. They also use aquatic and space vehicles. Vehicles include:

History[]
First Years of Service[]
The Storm Commando Corps were started shortly after Order 66. Clones of an elite Mandalorain Supercommando were made and were used as the first Strom Commandos in 19 BBY. Palpatine stationed these units on Coruscant, near the Imperial Palace, and some were part of the Palace's garrison. After a few months, human recruits were allowed to join this new unit and were trained as well as the clones were. Storm Commandos first seen action after the Rebel Alliance was started, and their first mission was to destroy a Rebel factory. The mission was a success, and the Storm Commandos earned a good reputation.
The Rebel SpecOps responded to this threat and attacked a factory world in the Outer Rim. As the Rebellion took control of the planet, an unknown assassin killed the Rebel commanders, who the Rebels suspected to be a Storm Commando unit. Later on, the Storm Commandos won more and more victories, and later were assigned to the ISD Devastator, which was Vader's flagship. After a few days, the ISD captured a Rebel ship, which carried the stolen Death Star plans, which were retrieved by a squad of Storm Commandos while 501st stormtroopers engaged the Rebel defenders. Afterwards, Vader gave them the nickname, Black Ops.
A quarter of the Storm Commando Corps were transferred to the Death Star, where they were used as security guards for Cellblock 1138. Some were later used as gunners during the Battle of Yavin 4, but they were killed when the Death Star exploded.
A few months after that, half of the Black Corps were transferred to the newly built Executer, Darth Vader's new flagship, and the first Super Star Destroyer. When former CIS ring carrier that belonged to the Rebels attacked the ship, a Black Ops squad boarded the Ring Carrier and took it over, and made it the flagship of the Black Armada, which was started shortly after. The ship was used by Storm Commandos to travel around the Galaxy and to store their TIE Inquisitors.
Galactic War[]
After the Yavin Base was abandoned by the Rebellion, Darth Vader sent out many probe droids to scout different remote planets around the galaxy. Soon, On of the probe droids, which was in the Hoth system, found and sent a photo of the Echo Base shield generator on Hoth. Vader quickly sent the fleet to the Hoth system, and the Storm Commandos were dropped of on the surface of the planet. They made their way to the Ion Cannon and disabled it, allowing the Star Destroyers to land more troops.
After the victory on Hoth, Storm Commandos were sent to Sullust to infiltrate the Rebel Fleet. Black Ops operatives quickly retrieved a datacard on the Alliance's moves, which came in handy later, and killed several generals. After they returned to Darth Vader's flagship, they received the Medal of Honor for their bravery.
On Coruscant, rogue Grand Admiral Zaarin and his rogue TIE pilots captured Emperor Palpatine and his vessel, the VSD Majestic. Black Ops unit infiltrated and took over the ship while Darth Vader and his pilots distracted the other Rogue Imperials. When the VSD's turbolasers opened fire on the surprised enemy pilots, they were taken off guard and destroyed. After wards, the Black Ops members received another award, the Palpatine's Pride Medal.
Back on the Executer, the stolen datachip was examined and it's secrets were revealed. Immediately after, Storm Commandos were sent to liberate Sullust from the Rebels after the Rebel Fleet left to the Second Death Star. The mission was quick and easy. Black Ops members quickly overrun the enemy defenders and the rest oft he planet fell when three ISDs and several stormtrooper legions arrived.
The Rise of the New Repulic[]
At Endor, Imperials had began fighting the Rebels by the time a legion of Storm Commandos arrived. They landed on the surface of the planet and quickly defeated most of the Alliance's troops. After the Empire won at the surface, in space Darth Vader and the Emperor, along with the Second Death Star, were defeated, but the Rebel Fleet reteated from taking to much damage. Soon, the Empire turned into the Imperial Remnant, and the Rebels were now the New Republic. Storm Commandos continued serving the Imperial Remnant.
During the peaceful years between the Treaty and the Yuuzhan Vong Invasion, an unknown shadow organization targeted Imperial personnel. Many were killed. The Imperial Security Bureau found out that those were bounty hunters from Nar Shaddaa, sent by a Hutt. Black Ops were sent in immediately, and due to the amateur bounty hunters there, the Imperials got though to the Hutt within a few minutes. After the Hutt was interrogated, it was discovered that the whole planet was populated by these bounty hunters. Several Super Star Destroyers of the Black Armada unleashed an orbital bombardment, which killed the bounty hunters, but also took thousands of civilian lives.
Later after that, the Storm Commandos were sent to Korriban, to retrieve a crystal which contained thousands of Jedi souls, who could be released. When the Black Ops landed, they were attacked by zombies who guarded the Dark Valley of the Sith Lords. Many Storm Commandos were killed, but they moved on to complete their mission. Soon, they reached the tomb where the crystal was kept. They took it and a gunship picked them up before they were attacked by more zombies. Afterwards, the crystal was retrieved and the Jedi were set free, and were part of the New Jedi Order.
Shortly after that, some Jedi turned rogue and wiped out a town of New Republic troops and civilians. The Black Ops, along with New Republic forces and the 609th Stormtrooper Division, they infiltrated and attacked the town, and freed it form the Dark Jedi occupation.
