Beware, I am Death, eliminator of worlds. I am called to send you to the Force.
—Unknown Immortal
The Immortals were a group of rogue Clone troopers from the specialized GAR legion the Advanced Clone Trooper Combat Elite, under the command of General Drewika Ziratae of Acrolis. The ACTCE unit was comprised of the best, bravest, and most tactically brilliant clone troopers in the Republic army, hand picked by the general himself. The Immortals were a subset of the ACTCE, fifty men handpicked from the ranks for their extreme genius and taken by Ziratae to the Valley of the Jedi on Ruusan to be given Force powers. With this added advantage of instant Force power, these men were given lightsabers and Cortosis-enhanced Mandalorian armor, produced by the Star Forge's factories. Ziratae christened these men "The Immortals" and sent them on covert missions across the galaxy to aid the Republic. In one instant, the Immortals took on an entire droid legion on Concord Dawn and utterly defeated them. Chancellor Palpatine was very interested by the success of Ziratae's method, and attempted to duplicate on his Red Guard. Ziratae's Immortals accompanied him on the Great Jedi Purge of the Jedi Temple, slaughtering numerous Jedi in the process. During the reign of the Galactic Empire, the Immortals worked on numerous Core worlds as secret police commanders, murdering those accused of treachery. They were given new Phase II cortosis-enhanced Mandalorian armor, similar in design to stormtrooper armor. During the Galactic Civil War, the Immortals worked behind lines on Rebel planets to murder key Rebel leaders. During the era of the New Republic, when their leader joined the Alliance, the Immortals, still fifty strong, worked in Republic Special ops until the Yuuzhan Vong invasion when they were withdrawn to Acrolis to protect the Acrolian Star Empire. They were disbanded soon after, but many of the members served in the Empire afterwards in the Second Galactic Civil War.
Behind the scenes[]
The Immortals are clearly based off of the Shadowtroopers from Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, the Force-sensitive stormtroopers of Dark Jedi Desann.
