ID-10T was created by Darth Void for Darth Rupture as a present for completing his Sith Training and a bodyguard. ID-10T was a supposedly special droid that had the ability to actually duel Jedi in combat with a lightsaber. It was said that ID-10T was famous for an impressive record of 75 kills, most of them Jedi Knights and Padawans.

ID-10T is a reference to ID10T which in turn is also a reference to the word IDIOT.
ID-10T was intended to be a comic relief character. It was going to be included in serious moments with Darth Rupture saying "What are you doing ID-10T?!"
