Society and culture[]

History[]
The Hyabbs were the sentient descendants of a non-sentient amphibian species. They evolved on Hyabb, a temperate planet located in the Hyabb system within the Krenher sector in the Core Worlds region. Their homeworld was explored sometime between 20,000 BBY and 15,000 BBY, during the Great Manifest Period and settlement of Trailing Sectors. It fell into the area of space known as The Negs.
Their homeworld was constantly at war with its neighbor, Twith, almost from the beginning of the Old Republic. In what became known as the Hyabb-Twith Campaigns, the ancient Jedi Knights ousted the Nelroni Marauders and freed the planet from their oppression. It became a part of Republic Space during the Clone Wars. In 25 ABY, their homeworld's population was up to 5 billion, the same year the Yuuzhan Vong invaded their home galaxy. Their homeworld became a part of the Core Worlds Security Zone in 137 ABY.
