The House of Dezendyan, our rivals, are a very powerful and rich family, do not underestimate them, they have a lot of power and influence in the empire, they even bought the planet there headquaters space station is based over! They even have there own navy and army! Not only that, they are a member of the Imperial Tripartite Alliance.
—Rexgan Vás to AAAIBI Commodore Yxgortiago Durertuzgor on the House of Dezendyan
The House of Dezendyan was a powerful upper-class commerce family who lived aboard space station Dezendyan 1, the headquaters of there highly successful business Dezendyan Corporation which did several different things from transporting cargo across the empire (as well as across the N'Akkiarl Galaxy) to making starships.
They moved to the Zerrekazi system in 790 ABY and set up a transport business which served the local system, eventually this business grew so they could buy bigger and better transport ships which let them serve nearby star systems, eventually the empire and then by 823 ABY the entire N'Akkiarl Galaxy and building and designing ships, they made both civilian ships and warships fo the Imperial Navy.
By 980 ABY they were millionaires with holdings across the empire and numerous subsidieries, they even bought the planet which there headquaters was in orbit above and renamed it Dezendyan.
They had influence in the empire, to the point they owned there own personal navy and the empire was still supplying them warships. They had close ties with the empire, one of the reasons why they were so rich, they often worked close with the Imperial Navy and the civilian-run Imperial Merchant Navy. Sometimes they leased there navy out to the Imperial Navy for a price and because they thought it was there patriotic duty. Dezendyan ships could commonly be seen helping the Imperial Navy in battles, as well as resupplying them.
From 1,102 ABY to 1,130 ABY they fought a feud with the rival House of Vás who was muscleing in on the Dezendyan-controlled transport business in the Zerrekazi system and swiftly had become big and rich enough to oppose the House of Dezendyan, the feud was orginally a non-violent feud which was largely limited to smear campaigns but in 1,129 ABY the House of Vás attacked Dezendyan 5 station, which escalated the feud to a war.
From 1,100 ABY onwards they were part of the Imperial Tripartite Alliance, a triple-power alliance of the Ingzan-Bregaran Empire, N'Akkiarlian Star Empire and the House of Dezendyan, who fought the rebels and the House of Vás. They were later part of the Imperial Triumvirate.

House of Dezendyan and the Ingzan-Bregaran Empire[]
Since the house started building starships it had a policy and tradition of conducting business largely with the Ingzan-Bregaran Empire and her allies, the House of Dezendyan was an Ingzan family, with influence in the imperial government, fiercely patriotic, they sold ships and leased out there services to the empire at reduced costs, for a small fee they even had there own personal navy help out the Imperial Navy in battles.
We deal largely with the empire because we are patriots, GLORY TO THE EMPIRE!
—Mikko Dezendyan on the House of Dezendyan dealing mostly with the Ingzan-Bregaran Empire
Not all Dezendyan family members supported the Ingzan-Bregaran Empire, Eko Dezendyan didnt support imperialism or the feud with the Vás, so when the feud escalated to war he joined the side the AAAIBI, his family, especially his father, Mikko, considered him a traitour, Mikko was angered at his son's treason since he was a patriot, he hoped he wouldnt have to kill him in battle, but if he did then he would accept it had to be done.
I feel annoyed and sad at Eko, he has turned his back on his family and nation, he is a Dezendyan, therefore he should be proud of our empire, our empire brings stability. I hope i dont have to kill him battle, but if i have to then i will engage him in battle, and considering his ship has nowhere near the power of my flagship it would be almost certain death for him!
