House Isid of Styran X was a former Kolkan from Gargan's Empire. It governed the planet Styran X from Castle Isid, an underwater military complex. They were long regarded to be one of the most powerful noble houses in the Landsmeet and were perceived as ambitious, creative, resourceful and cunning. It was no secret that the Isid family long desired to have one of their own members elected as Gargan, and because of this they long attempted to manipulate the Order of Gargan and undermine their authority.
When Kestun Fei, born a commoner, was elected to the position of Gargan over their own, the Isids were notably upset. It was believed they conspired with the Agunna Shiv, a Tyrrhan criminal organization, to assassinate Fei and have his position taken by a member of House Isid. Although their involvement in the conspiracy was never proven, when the assassination was successfully carried out the Order of Gargan declared all members of the family as divergent, stripped them of their fief and titles, and exiled them from Gargan Space. It was believed the family survived out in the Outer Rim Territories, with some rumors circulating they had resorted to piracy to keep their finances intact.
After their exile, control of Styran X was transferred to House Repose. House Isid's expulsion from Gargan Space was considered a controversial event, with some Kolkans divided over House Isid's innocence or guilt.
