House Beshan of Almadore was an extinct Kolkan of Gargan's Empire and the ruling noble family of Almadore. They were once a respectable and exceedingly wealthy family of traders, with extensive authority in the Landsmeet. Their influence in Garganese politics enabled them to soon rise to one of the mightiest Houses in the Empire, rivalling even House Royce and House Ahlcain.
The Beshans were all but destroyed during the waning years of the Gargan Dark Age. After poisoning Asadu Ifawa, a high-ranking member of the Order of Gargan, they attempted to openly rebel against the Gargan. They managed to spread the flame of rebellion to other Kolkans, particularly the marginalized lower vassal Houses. When Ifawa died, Varkhan Semric Beshan attempted to hold his apprentice Irsan Gharsan hostage. Gharsan secretly fed his militia, the Western Raiders, information, which led them to arrive on Almadore in concert. Gharsan personally led the Raiders in capturing and executing all members of the family, effectively driving them extinct. House Beshan's destruction ultimately led to the formation of the Houses Minor and the start of the Golden War.
