Hortig Spess was a Mandalorian warlord.
History[]
During the Great Clan Wars (44-32 BBY), Hortig waged war against the numerous Supercommando militias that dominated much of the Mandalorian community. He eventually reformed the ancient Mountain Free Legion, who under Hortig opposed the Republic invasion of the Mandalore sector. The invasion carried on into the Imperial era, and Hortig mended his disdain towards the Supercommandos in order to defeat their common enemy: the Imperials. Hortig disappeared in 3 BBY while he was leading a raid on an Imperial outpost on Concordia. Mandalorian agents sent by Fenn Shysa concluded that he was likely captured by Imperial forces, though the location of his imprisonment would never be discovered.
