Hekter Stag was a human member of the Rebel Alliance from 10 BBY to 0 BBY. He was born on the planet of

Eriadu to unknown parents in 27 BBY. He was orphaned at a very young age, being taken in by a foster family until the age of 17, when he decided to join the Rebellion. He was one of the few Eriaduans to not view the galaxy from a Humanocentric point-of-view.

Hekter was known to be a very defiant member of the Rebellion. Oftentimes he would return to his base with black market goods and weapons. This trait was revealed to be useful 0 BBY, when Hekter was doing his typical dealings in the infamous criminal underworld of Coruscant. He had purchased a handful of illegal detonators from a still-unknown dealer. These bombs would later be used to blow up Imperial generators, letting the GR-75 transport, the Deliverance, escape.

He was killed by a Scout Trooper during the Battle of Tatooine.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Hekter Stag was born on the Outer Rim world of Eriadu in 27 BBY. His parents abandoned him at an early age, leaving him for a foster family. At 17, he would leave his family behind to join the Rebellion. As he left Eriadu, he vowed never to return, saying that he hated this place knowing that Wilhuff Tarkin was born and grew up here.

Joining the Alliance and Friendship with Demas Cordd[]

During his time in the Rebellion, he met the Rodian known as Demas Cordd. They quickly became friends and went on most missions together. One aspect that Demas hated about Hekter was his tendency to deal with illegal peddlers and merchants.

Coruscant underworld[]

In 0 BBY, Hekter was assigned by his then-commanding officer, General Carlist Rieekan, to go undercover and attend Emperor Sheev Palpatine's annual State of the Galactic Union address. After the address had ended, he decided to travel to the underworld to check out the black market. While there, he purchased 18 pocket-sized detonators for "future use" as he later put it. 9 months later, these detonators would be used to blow up the Imperial generators creating a shield around Bespin, preventing Rebels from escaping.

Battle of Tatooine and death[]

Hekter was on watch duty on Tatooine with Demas, when the Imperial squad, the 71st Mobile Reconnaissance Unit, landed down, looking for Rebels. Hekter was killed by a sniper perched up on a hill. Demas made it out, however, alerting his lietenant, thus beginning the Battle of Tatooine.
