Biography[]
Early life[]
Harbie was born on the ocean planet of Bestine IV. He soon became an older brother to Doolie Rain. As the two grew up they saw the harsh and domineering rule of the Empire and grew dissatisfied. They soon came to resent the cruelty and oppression that came with living under the Galactic Empire and began performing raids on Imperial buildings. Using contacts, Harbie would be supplied with explosives which he and Doolie would plant and remotely detonate. Their actions soon caught the eye of the Rebel Alliance, and they were both offered positions in 0 BBY. They both accepted.
Training[]
The two were sent to a training camp on Palanhi in order to improve their combat skills. They were placed under the command of sergeant Eno Dagger and assigned to a team that consisted of Chessa Oto, Kam Zanabi, Kolm Nnaut and Tendra Derris. The task in the camp was to find ten flags that had been placed within a 12 kilometer radius. To make things even more difficult, they were forced to fight against assassin droids, booby traps, SpecForce soldiers and competing teams. They were only given a single map, five days worth of rations and armed with blasters that were stuck on stun settings. During the mission, Kam and Kolm both fell prey to traps, and the group lost precious time in rescuing them. Harbie became greatly annoyed with Kam, and the too began to argue frequently.
However, after only three days in the wilderness, the camp came under siege from Imperial stormtroopers. The group were forced to race back to the starting position where transports were waiting. When it seemed that they were getting close, they were ambushed by Imperials. Luckily for them, Dagger arrived, with two squads of assassin droids for reinforcement. He ordered the rookies to flee, but Harbie decided to remain behind to aid Dagger. Despite the team's protests and Dagger's orders, Harbie remained behind. Things quickly turned bad however, when the droids were shot down and Harbie was wounded. Harbie and Dagger were forced to give up their weapons and surrender. The two were placed in stun cuffs and taken to an Imperial shuttle, which proceeded to transport them to Kessel, where they were sentenced to a lifetime of labor in the spice mines.
