Queen Hansmena was the constitutional monarch of the Tapos nation on Holt during the Clone Wars. Though she had little official power, she was the planet's most influential figure in inter-planetary affairs, and was considered the likely deciding voice for whether Holt would side with the Republic or the Confederacy. For this reason, Jedi Padawan Ardré Kartik was sent undercover to serve as an attendant to her and persuade her to side with the Republic. She was convinced to ally with the Republic, and used her influence to override the voices claiming Holt should remain neutral. She remained in her position well into the days of the Empire.
