Template:Military Army InfoboxThe Hand Of Shadow was a rebel faction that fought both the First Order and the Resistance. It was lead by both Darak Koorthan and Darez Shadalker. It has managed to gain control of the world known as Dellend, of which houses most of it's technology.

Military[]

Fleet[]

The Hand Of Shadow fleet consisted of several stolen Resurgent-class Star Destroyers and Imperial-class Star Destroyers, but also used ships unique to them, utilizing the Harrower-class dreadnought in large amounts. When it came to starfighters, the Hand Of Shadow utilized both the T-70 X-wing Starfighter, the Z-95 headhunter, alongside the somewhat outdated Aggressive Reconnaissance-170 Starfighter. Most of it's bombers were most often the TIE/sa bomber, although the Y-wing was also commonly seen. The Starfighters were all painted a pitch black, as to maintain uniformity within their special fleet of Starfighters. Because of it's variety of ships, it had one of the more unique fleets in the galaxy, although it mostly consisted of Star Destroyers from the Galactic Republic, the Galactic Empire, and the First Order. The fleet was located near the planet of Dellend, their base of operations.

Infantry[]

The armor utilized by the Hand Of Shadow infantry resembled that of the mandolorian armor, however, it was made of plastoid. While differences could be noted, it was more or less uniform in design. The weapons used by the soldiers in the faction were often the E-11 blaster rifle, DC-15A blaster carbine, or, the DLT-19 heavy blaster rifle. While other weapons were used by the Hand Of Shadow, these were the most commonly seen. When it came to walkers, the Hand Of Shadow utilized the AT-RT, the AT-AT, and the AT-TE in specific battles, although these were no match for the First Order's AT-M6. However, there were certain soldiers in the Hand Of Shadow, known to some as the Hand, who were trained with different weapons, all trained by Darth Nithus, also known as Darak Koorthan. These soldiers were trained in lightsaber combat, as well as other forms of melee combat, although it was mostly lightsabers.

While these soldiers weren't force sensitive, they were certainly capable fighters. Their armor was severely changed, to have them stand out from other Hand Of Shadow forces.

However, later on, the Hand Of Shadow began utilizing B1 and B2 series of battle droids in large amounts, as to overwhelm their enemies. The weapons utilized by the B1s were the E-5 blaster rifle, alongside the DH-17 carbine, but also included weapons that were utilized by other infantry units in the faction. The B2s, however, were somewhat of a rare sight on the battlefield, but could still be seen.

Galactic Relations[]

The First Order[]

The Hand Of Shadow's leadership heavily despised the First Order, thus, it formed the Hand Of Shadow. It is their main goal to destroy the First Order, and will go to any means to do so.

The Resistance[]

While they were both enemies of the First Order, they were not very trusting of each other, as the Hand Of Shadow knew that it was supported by the New Republic. Also, Resistance fighters would attack Hand Of Shadow ships, mistaking them for ships of the First Order, with the Hand Of Shadow defending itself any way it could. Thus, their relations were very hostile.

Imperial Remnants[]

The Hand Of Shadow viewed Imperial Remnants as vital allies to their cause, recruiting many who hadn't joined the First Order. Thus, the Hand Of Shadow viewed the Imperial Remnants as vital to their cause. However, one Remnant, known as the Gladiator Fleet, openly distrusted the Hand of Shadow and even declared war on them for many reasons that could be considered valid to many.

The New Republic[]

While the New Republic, like the Resistance, opposed the First Order, the Hand of Shadow viewed them as highly incompetent, believing that democracy hampered progress altogether. Because of this, the Hand of Shadow actively fought against the New Republic, claiming that they were extremely unfair to some factions.

Recruitment[]

Most of the soldiers in the Hand Of Shadow were volunteers, but among their ranks were also hired mercenaries. However, later on, the Hand Of Shadow began kidnapping children from the age of six, training and indoctrinating them into their vast army and/or navy.

The Hand Of Shadow also resorted to recruiting rogue Imperial Remnants, whom assisted them against The First Order. The reasons for these Imperial Remnants being recruited, was because they knew much more about military strategy than even the highest ranking officers in the Hand Of Shadow, and were considered vital to the group's military operations against both the First Order and the Resistance.
