He rediscovered Wayland for the Galactic Empire, prompting Emperor Palpatine to build the secret Mount Tantiss complex. Due to his discovery, Han was made the planetary governor of the planet. He was married to Alyona Trasidar and had a son named Kyp Trasidar.
