Hammerly was a lieutenant in the Imperial Navy who was chosen by Admiral Thrawn to join his expedition to the Unknown Regions. Hammerly later served as a Force Commander in the Empire of the Hand’s navy during the Yuuzhan Vong War, commanding a task force of vessels.
