Hal Reumar was a human male and a First Order General who worked under Director Ralia Arryn in the First Order Security Bureau. In an attempt to rise to power, he devised a plot to betray her, but was discovered and executed in front of his subordinates.

Plot[]
Reumar was a General in 33 ABY, just months before Starkiller Base fired upon Hosnian Prime. He served in the Inspectorate, the FOSB's version of Commission of Operations, and also headed the Operations division of the FOSB, overseeing operations related to the construction of the superweapon. He strived to become Director of the entire Bureau one day and secretly loathed Arryn, believing her methods to be ineffective even despite her years of experience and multiple demonstrations of efficiency.
He devised a plot to attempt to trick Arryn, blame her for multiple failures that he had set up, and have her executed, only to take her position instead. Reumar contacted the local Resistance cell and offered them a deal; he gave them intel about a future shipment of planetary shield components that would complete the construction of Starkiller Base. Thanks to his military rank, he placed Resistance mechanics on twenty Resurgent-class Star Destroyers that would be guarding the shipment route. The mechanics set up thermal detonators on the ships. Once the explosions took out the Destroyers, the Resistance fleet would attack the shipment itself, intercepting it before it could reach its target. He would then blame Arryn and have her killed, taking her place; in that outcome he promised the Resistance not to attack their bases in the sector.
However, during the day of the operation Reumar received no updates on its progress and thought that the Resistance had double-crossed him, though in reality it was Arryn who foiled his plot at its very beginning. She had the mechanics killed, the detonators disabled and the fleet vaporized. The shipment was delivered safely. Arryn walked in on Reumar to surprise him with her knowledge of the plan, and had him arrested.
Death[]
After his plot was foiled by Arryn and he was discovered, Reumar was thrown into a detention cell for several days without sleep or food. Then he taken out to be publicly executed by Arryn herself. Instead of watching a stormtrooper do it, she used her electrostaff to electrocute and then behead him. She made a spectacle out of the execution as a warning to the Bureau staff not to cross her ever again.
Personality and traits[]
Reumar thought himself to be clever and brave, but was actually cowardly and weak in the face of danger. He was a power-hungry and impatient traitor who was ready to backstab or double-cross anyone for the sake of getting to the top as quickly as he could. This ultimately proved to be his mistake, as his plot was rushed and not thought through and was discovered in its earliest stages.
