Women are an abomination!
—Common saying
The H’nemthe misogynist movement was a H’nemthe male uprising which started during the Clone Wars and was led by Dev’nir C’roth. The object of this movement was to remove the female population from government and enslave them as punishment for their treatment of the culturally inferior males. The males protest centered around the H’nemthe mating ritual, where a female would disembowel the male with her razor sharp tongue.
While the incumbent government supported a membership with the Galactic Republic, the misogynist movement was eager to join the Confederacy of Independent Systems—primarily because Count Dooku would support their cause. Due to their great numbers, the misogynist movement ultimately prevailed and the H’nemthe joined the Confederacy. To help support the Confederacy, the male-ruled world of H’nemthe produced bounty hunters for the Separatist army. General Grievous took command of a group of H’nemthe bounty hunters at the Battle of Utapau. During this period, many women of the H’nemthe species were enslaved and forced into prostitution.

After the dissolution of the Separatists and the rise of the Galactic Empire, the H’nemthe misogynist movement gained little or no support from the outside. The Empire paid little attention to the movement and H’nemthe culture returned to its historical ways.
