The Greater Chiss Empire was the state set up by Anth'mer'uruodo after his victory in the Chiss Civil War and his declareation as "Emperor of all the Chiss". Its armies would soon control most of the galaxy, before being brought down in 241 ABY by coalition of the remaining galactic governments. However, the Chiss recovered and soon launched another series of invasions, this time reaching the opposite edge of the galaxy. The empire was finally abolished by the Chiss High Council after the death of Anth'mer'uruodo's grandson Oth'mer'uruodo, after which the Chiss Ascendancy was once again the Chiss government.
