When the Emperor turned the Galactic Republic to an Empire, there was a Gonk Droid team on the run. They flew to the planet of Gonkooine to hide. For many years, they hid from the Empire. Then one day, an Imperial Star Destroyer lightspeed to Gonkooine. The Gonk group was found. Tired of being oppressed, the group boarded a shuttle to the ISD and killed the Stormtroopers onboard. Years later, they fought valiantly at the Battle of Jakku, where they single-handedly destroyed the Galactic Empire. These power droids became the Gedi, users of the GNK force.
