Gogi was a title given to veteran Mandalorian Supercommandos that oversaw their own bands of Supercommandos. These gogis had their own offices and operated independently from the Mand'alor or from the clan chieftains, sending their Supercommandos on missions against enemy military forces that threatened Mandalore or the surrounding Mandalore sector. Gogi typically trained their Supercommandos in the arts of espionage, depredation, and assassination, and as such the titles 'spymaster' and 'warmaster' were commonly used by gogi. While many gogi oversaw these Supercommando operations from the safety of their offices and bunkers, some were known to actually participate in some these operations themselves, carrying on the Mandalorian tradition that the commander too must fight in the battle.
During the time of the Mandalorian Confederation, members of Fenn Shysa's akaa'gi all held the title gogi.
