Gizor Dellso was the head Geonosian technician in the Confederacy of Independent Systems who had helped design and construct a signal override device for the droid army, easing the Trade Federation's fears that the army might be used against them.
Biography[]
Living his whole early life on Geonosis, Gizor Dellso never quite made it to as high a rank as his rival, the fellow Geonosian Sun Fac. Dellso served as an engineer in the Stalgasin Hive and assisted in the activation procedures of the droid army. He was responsible for the army's last-minute preparation when the Battle of Geonosis broke out and ignited the Clone Wars. During the final days of the Clone Wars, Gizor Dellso was, in fact, on his way to Mustafar (the final location of the Separatist Council). At that time, his ruler, Poggle the Lesser, and the other Separatist leaders were murdered personally by Darth Vader, the notorious agent of the newly-formed Galactic Empire. After their deaths during the Mission to Mustafar, the Clone Wars had supposedly been brought to an end, but not in Dellso's mind. The battle droid deactivation signal was transmitted across the Galaxy by Darth Vader, after the massacre, and Dellso arrived only a few days later to find the Separatist Council members dead. He also discovered the small, abandoned droid factory on Mustafar and immediately dreamed up a plan that he hoped would continue the Clone Wars and declare him as the leader of the remaining Separatists. He formed the Confederate Remnant.
Stealing plans for an experimental Imperial starfighter and entitling himself the "final commander" of the Confederacy of Independent Systems (and self-proclaimed leader of a new Separatist movement), the Geonosian holed up on Mustafar, along with his Geonosian bodyguards. He raised a "hibernating" battle droid army, and sent up many CIS ships to create his own fleet. Darth Vader finally decided to take action. He sent the 501st Legion to Mustafar to assassinate Dellso and crush his uprising. Thus, the Battle of Mustafar broke out. After breaking through his fleet, raiding the bunker, and destroying Gizor's plan for a new, superior battle droid, and ultimately a new droid army, Dellso hid himself away in his volcanic stronghold. When the Imperial troops raided the complex control room, the power hungry Geonosian was nowhere to be found. Engineers who were inside the room and communicated with him inside his bunker were gunned down. Upon losing contact with his accomplices, Dellso knew of his revolt's imminent failure. Not wanting to be trapped in his stronghold while the Empire bombarded his refuge out of existence, Delso made a bold attempt to escape the battle area alive. Flanked heavily by armed Geonosian bodyguards, Dellso tried to break Imperial ranks, taking many lives with a strange weapon that resembled a sonic blaster but fired rockets. He killed most of the 501st Legion and then took a Geonosian starfighter from the hangar bay, and sped off into the orbit around Mustafar. There he landed in a Droid Battleship. The droid battleship then jumped to hyperspace and went to the planet of Macnemerewhere he completed a Droid Foundry that was incomplete. He then started the production of the B-3 Battle Droids. Then he produced many more ships that he put into space to protect his foundry. This time however, he built a shield generator that protected the whole planet of Macnemere. After the many years of the Galactic Empire being in existence, they found out about this Foundry as well. The Empire attacked with ten AT-ATs, thirty AT-STs, and two different legions of troops, the remnant of the 501st Legion, and the 102nd Legion. They took many casualties on their way to the planets surface, due in no small part to the many battleships overhead. But in the end they broke through and landed outside of the Shields Range. The AT-At's came within firing range of the Shield Generator, but before they could fire, the bombers from the battleships came to the planets surface. They bombed the AT-ATs into submission, then they bombed the AT-STs until they blew up as well. Darth Vader's apprentice, Darth Ventruss, then landed on the planet. She led what was left of the invading armada to the Foundry. She was about 200 meters out from the Droid Foundry before she came in contact with the new Cortosis Droids that could withstand almost any lightsaber attack. She was killed within seconds. After her death the Imperial Troops were ordered to retreat. The Droids had defeated the Empire for the First time. But Gizor was soon killed by an assassination attempt on his life, by the bounty hunter, Boba Fett. He had one son however Nute Delso, who took control over the Droid forces, and hid them until 2 ABY, where he created the Neo Trade Federation.
