Your worlds, your star systems, your homes, are all but being smothered in the iron grip of the dictatorship of the Republic. But in this war, we can make a difference. The Confederacy of Independent Systems will bring liberty and hope back to the galaxy; we just have to fight for it!
—Gitjo Fahllen speaking to her troops at the start of the Clone Wars
Gitjo Fahllen was a young Human soldier and general in the Separatist Droid Army of the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. As a citizen of Raxus, the headquarters of the Separatist Parliament, she was the leader of a partly organic unit called the Army of Raxus. A staunch believer in the Confederacy and it's cause, Fahllen was fully convinced that the CIS was the morally superior side of the Clone Wars, believing the Republic was too corrupt to be redeemed, and that the Confederacy was bringing freedom to the galaxy. Partly as a result of this, though her beliefs were not entirely accurate, she was a soldier of unmatched valor, a pure, loving heart, and a good and kind woman who led her troops to many victories in the war.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Gitjo Fahllen was born in the capital city of Raxus in 44 BBY. As the daughter of a middle-class family with a history of military service, she enlisted in the Republic Army at the age of seventeen, and passed all her courses without any demerits, resulting in her swift promotion to lieutenant.
Her service to the Galactic Republic was short-lived, however, because she and her family saw the decadence of the Republic, which had not done anything to help Raxus in its economic slump, and joined the newly born Confederacy in 23 BBY when Count Dooku and his Separatists offered to provide food, money and supplies for the planet in return for the planet serving as the home of the CIS' Separatist Parliament. Fahllen followed her family and became a captain in the CIS Armed Forces.
