Gildust Morastok, often referred to as simply Gil, was a Tominoan male engineer, technician, and splicer. Using his talents to find himself work in virtually any corner of the galaxy during the time of the Fauthian Devastation, he was eventually captured and held captive on the Unknown Regions planet of Kal Masa for skirting several debts. He was therefore present when the crew of the Kitehawk were also imprisoned to await the coming Fauthian fleet. Quickly brokering a deal with Calen Solayr, the peddler and friends would help him seize control of the area's droid population to escape. The assembled group managed to escape mid-battle and reunite with Jedi Master Rend Arcturius; Morastok would thereafter be considered their starship's official mechanic. As repayment for their aid, he would assist them during the breaking of the Gunninga Gap stalemate and the following Battle of Hideaway.
He remained with them during the New Jedi Purge, having been officially 'hired' by the Triumvirate Subversive Intelligence Service, aiding them in the rescue and ferrying of targeted Jedi to safer space. He was therefore present when Raixan Fauth launched an assault on the planet of New Tython, aiming to exterminate the Order. Supporting Ilse Emery during the fight, the small amount of droids that he commandeered proved a valuable asset. Eventually, he reunited with the rest of the crew and helped evacuate Solayr after his defeat at Fauth's hands, escaping the planet right as the battle came to a conclusion.
Two years later, Morastok was still working with Emery, now a 'special agent' of the SIS, and played a part in Operation: Homefront.
