Before the Republic era

I thought all the United League Arks were long gone, but here it is, right before our very eyes... The computer says its transponder identifies it as the Kalendin ship Trinity.
Ethereal officer and scientist Haelious Zarday upon discovery of the Genesis-class Arkship Trinity

The Genesis-class Arkship, also classed as an "Ark Ship", "Intergalactic Ark", "Star-Ark" or simply as an "Ark", was the Kalendin variant of the United League's Arkships, constructed in the aftermath of the War of the Ancients to facilitate the evacuation of the Cradle. The Genesis-class saw twenty ships built, constructed by the main Kalendin starship manufacturer, Twenty Nations Starforges. Originally, it was intended that each of the twenty Kalendin Nations would take one, but by the time of their completion, this had been reconsidered as posing too great a risk, as the loss of a ship would mean the loss of an entire Nation, the basic Kalendin socio-cultural unit. Thus, instead, members of all twenty Nations were divided more-or-less equally between each ship.

In the end, most reached their intended destination, as most League Arks did as a whole, however one, the Trinity, discovered an error in its navigation was leading it into a collision with a solar system, and thus its AI-integrated computer system brought the ship out of Slipspace, deactivating the Slipspace Hyperdrive in the process. Unfortunately, the AI was unable to establish contact with the other nineteen Kalendin Arks, and thus diverted all available power to sublight engines and stasis systems, working to slowly keep the ship going on limited power. Thankfully, by the time of the Celestial-Rakata War, the Trinity was still operational, and had managed to approach the galaxy closely enough for the ship's power generation systems to draw bare minimum energy from the galaxy's subspace counterpart. However, it was still so far away that it only arrived at the edge of the Unknown Regions a few hundred centuries later, following the Yuuzhan Vong War, at which point it was finally discovered, boarded and reactivated after the Lost Tribe of Sith emergence.
