The Gargan Judiciary Force, also known simply as the Judiciary or the Imperial Constabulary was the primary police force for Gargan's Empire under the Tower of Justice. Police officers within the Judiciary were often called Gargan enforcers, famous for their recognizable black uniforms and face coverings. Aside from dealing with law enforcement, the Judiciary Force was also authorized to arrest political or philosophical dissidents within the Empire. The Judiciary Force had multiple detachments across the many planets in Gargan Space, though their greatest numbers were included within the Garganath Security Detachment, headquartered in the city of Myrra on Garganath.
Among the Judiciary's duties included regular patrols across Gargan Space, criminal investigations, counter-terrorism and counter-intelligence operations, crowd control, diplomatic protection, and sometimes military defense of the Empire. The Judiciary Force also supplied the Gargan military with its military police, tasked with maintaining order and discipline within the ranks. The GJF was led by the Grand Constable.
