The Galactic Republic Special Forces was an elite non-clone branch of the Grand Army of the Republic. The Special Forces were made from regular human recruits, not clones, and were given hard training and only a few troopers out of a class of 50 passed training. The Special Forces were used extensively during the Clone Wars and often worked along side clone commandos. They were considered by most officers to be more elite than the clone commandos and were highly demanded. The Special Forces was a unit feared by the Republic's enemies.
