The Galactic Recession was a time period in which businesses and organizations throughout the galaxy suffered from economic collapse due to the severe damage caused by the Great Galactic War, Cold War, and the Galactic War. The recession lasted for twelve years and it ultimately came to end before the Republic and the Jedi went to war against the Three Empires.
After another ten years of war, the recession once again started and continued to grew only worse as it the war went on. Several years after the conflict with the Three Empires ended, the recession still continued but now became better over time. Eventually, the recession ended for good and the galaxy returned to normal.
