The political title of Galactic President is the executive and governing ruling position of the Eclipse Empire as well as the head of the Presidency Council.[1] The Galactic Vice President serves as the executive assistant as well as the next in line to the position should the current President be removed from office, or by death.[1]
The position's duties and some of its ideals and power were based on that of the Confederate States Presidency title—information regarding the CSE were recovered from Old Republic and Old Empire vaults and archives.[1]
