How do you like my galaxy? There are no lies here, no empty platitudes or meaningless strictures. I have brought things back to the purity of their creation. This is my magnum opus, my masterwork.
—Raixan Fauth, to Eskander ar'Salan
The Galactic Interregnum was a period of nigh-unceasing conflict and disorder that immediately followed the Fauthian devastation. With the capitulation of the Galactic Federation Triumvirate following the Battle of Coruscant, the galaxy was essentially left without any form of cohesive government.
Using various methods—including the deployment and use of specialized superweapons to randomly devestate planets and other astronomical bodies—Raixan Fauth and his forces continued their depradations as if they had never achieved victory, preventing new governments from forming plunging the galaxy further into chaos and degradation.
Behind the Scenes[]
The Galactic Interregnum is inspired and themed on such mythological epochs as the Kali Yuga, as well as the description of the world preceding Ragnarök, as featured in the forty-fifth verse of the Völuspá.
