The Galactic Credit Standard, usually referred to as a Credit or Galactic Credit, was the main unit of currency used in the galaxy. During the time of the Galactic Republic, credits were known as Republic Dataries. After the rise of the Galactic Empire, the galaxy's main currency was changed to Imperial Credits.

Other names[]

In the Republic of P'ur, the "credit" was known as a P'urik.

Conversion rates to other currencies[]

  • A Morsian Denarii and currencies native to the Morsian Protectorate Planets were worth 1.6785 credits in 20 BBY.
    • By the late Empire at around 4 ABY, 1 Denarii was worth around 500 credits.
  • A Lutrinian Krenú was worth between 10-20 credits in 20 BBY.
    • This had increased to around 100 Imperial Credits, the successor to the Galactic Credit, in 0 BBY
