The Fwatnans were a race of tentacle-faced amphibious humanoids native to the Outer Rim planet of Fwatna. They bore a strong resemblance to the Khils of Belnar.
Biology and appearance[]
The Fwatnans were celadon-skinned amphibious humanoids with tentacled faces, pointed ears, and large blue eyes. They stand 1.5 meters in height.
Society and culture[]
Fwatnans could work for any affiliation and occupation, and could speak in a language which consists of hisses and croaks. They could also speak Basic. They were one of the 5 million sentient species (alien races) known to the Empire in the galaxy.
History[]
The Fwatnans were the sentient descendants of a non-sentient amphibious species. They evolved on Fwatna, a temperate swamp planet located in the Fwatna system within the Subterrel sector of the Outer Rim Territories. Their homeworld was explored sometime between 5000 BBY and 3000 BBY, during the Great Hyperspace War to the Kanz Disorders. It fell into the area of space known as the Western Reaches. They shared their home sector with the extinct Eellayins, the Kallidahins, and the Shards. In 25 ABY, their homeworld's population was up to 500,000, the same year the Yuuzhan Vong invaded their home galaxy. Their homeworld became a part of Darth Krayt's Sith Empire in 137 ABY.
