The Freysorn family was a noble family of Corellian origin that ruled the volcanic planet Vladet since circa 800 BBY. Throughout their centuries-long reign, the Freysorns' merchant fleet dominated trade throughout the Rachuk sector and also owned a colony on Commenor. Many Freysorns also worked in Republic government offices on Coruscant over the years. In the final centuries of the Galactic Republic, the Freysorns established the Freysorn Botanical Company in their colony, which sold hundreds of plant species across the galaxy. After the Freysorn Botanical Company was absorbed into the Trade Federation, the Freysorn family was supplemented with an army of B1 battle droids, with which they further tightened their hold on both Vladet and their colony on Commenor. During the Clone Wars, Vladet was considered a Separatist world and some Freysorn merchants also fought as Separatist privateers, though no battles were fought at Vladet. The Freysorns maintained their droid army and Separatist ideals into the Imperial era for several years until Vladet was invaded by Imperial forces in 10 BBY. After a year of intense fighting in Vladet's capital city, many members of the Freysorn family were killed or captured and Vladet was secured as an Imperial planet. The Freysorn colony on Commenor was swiftly liberated by locals.
It's believed that the Freysorns' Corellian ancestors were prominent space explorers since at least 10,000 BBY, and the Freysorns were allegedly able to distantly link their relations to other noble houses on Corellia, Naboo, and Lantillies. The rulers of Vladet, who were often simply addressed as "Lord Freysorn", were sometimes referred to as the "King of Plants" in reference to the Freysorn Botanical Company's influence in the crop industry. The "King of Plants" title could also have developed because a few lords of Freysorn in the past also served as the head of the Galactic Republic's Department of Botanic Research. Some politicians later disregarded the Freysors as a crime family due to their company's involvement in the illegal cannabis trade.
