Hey all. C3PO the Dragon Slayer, one of our now-former administrators and bureaucrats, brought up a good point in the forum topic he created today. Namely that his inactivity was a security risk in the event that anyone hacked into or otherwise gained access to his account and wanted to use it for bad purposes here on the wiki.
To that end, I’ve also removed the user rights from Neomessiah and Nacen. I knew that such a CT or RFRUR would’ve passed, so I saw no need to delay the inevitable on that one. Neomessiah founded this wiki 7 years ago, and he officially left four years ago and hasn’t made an edit since. Given that, it’s unlikely that he would return and use his admin rights again. Additionally, Nacen hasn’t edited here in over two and a half years, and hasn’t replied to e-mails about stepping down.
This is a step towards having a fully active admin team and reducing any security risks on the site, which is a good thing. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns about this, please let me know here. Thanks. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 22:54, July 19, 2012 (UTC)
