My, how time flies. It's March, so here's a new Café Fanfic, number 21!
Just like the previous ones, we're going to talk about fan-fiction (yours). The basic ground rules are the same. Please restrict this to stuff from your fan-fiction, but aside from that, no pressure. You can suggest, make observations, but no condemning other people's work and "I don't know" is a perfectly acceptable answer. Don't forget to post ideas for next month's topic down below!
March's topic: Discuss a time when your character was betrayed. Did they know it was coming? How close was the traitor to them? What were the repercussions? Atarumaster88 (Talk page) 21:31, March 11, 2013 (UTC)

Hmmmmm...when a character of mine was betrayed? Hm. I supposed the main character thing in Rakata would have felt betrayed, in the same way that a dog being left at the vet might feel betrayed. He/it doesn't know what is going on; everything is all to "above" him for him to know why something is happening and what he did to deserve it. It doesn't help that the people doing this to him are, for the most part, most definitely not looking out for his well-being. He doesn't understand and cannot understand the horrible things that happen, and so he feels betrayed by the creatures upon whom he's come to depend.
...That's all I got, cause I can't give no spoilerz abou the other story! muahahahaha. -Solus Talk to the Hand 03:33, March 28, 2013 (UTC)

In the recently released sixth chapter of Star Wars: Episode I - The Chosen One, Michael Lars was betrayed by Joshua Banai. Years ago, something happened between the two former friends that led Joshua to hate Michael. This was seen as early as the second chapter, where Joshua viciously assaulted Michael in the Yarga Cantina. Making matters worse is that when Michael tried to rekindle his romance with Sara Jade, Sara chose Joshua over him—someone who, as she told Michael, broke things off with her just hours earlier because she stopped the fight between Joshua and Michael.
When we get to the fifth chapter, during the crash of the alien starship, Michael finds that Joshua was sent as a Hutt military response team member and was injured in the ensuing chaos. Michael is then faced with a choice: he can do the right thing and save Joshua's life, or he can leave Joshua there to die and end the suffering that Joshua inflicts on him. Michael hesitates, but ultimately does the right thing and brings Joshua to a nearby cave for protection. Hours later, once Joshua wakes up, he rushes off to meet up with other soldiers and returns to the cave, where he says that Michael—as well as Ben Kenobi and Logan Amator, who Michael just met—tried to kill him. Michael reacts in anger and Joshua hits him before taking them all into custody.
This dynamic will continue to play out over the course of The Chosen One. In the chapters that will immediately follow the sixth, Michael will continue to be bitter that Joshua accused him of attempted murder. Michael is pissed that he did the right thing to save someone who can be described as his enemy, and that person still despises him and even stooped to the pettiness of making up a story out of spite. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 17:37, April 2, 2013 (UTC)

- For April, you could do something about a time your character was fooled. Alternatively, you could also do something about Space Taxes since it's Tax Day in the US. Super exciting stuff! - Brandon Rhea(talk) 22:48, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
