Sorina's Scarlet Sundrop Slurries are two-for-one this month only at Café Fanfic! I have no idea what that has to do with the actual topic, but at least it'll satisfy your thirst. We've got another topic in Café Fanfic this month and, as suggested by the Rodian with the stylish hat in the back, it's going to be something sappy, as befitting International Singles Awareness Day…I mean, Valentine's Day (btw, February 15th is a great time to get discounted candy at most major retailers, as long as you don't mind the prevailing pink and red themes).
Just like the previous ones, we're going to talk about fan-fiction (yours). The basic ground rules are the same. Please restrict this to stuff from your fan-fiction, but aside from that, no pressure. You can suggest, make observations, but no condemning other people's work and "I don't know" is a perfectly acceptable answer.
February's topic: Tell us about your character's first (non-platonic/familial) kiss. Who was it with? What was the setting? Did those two ever develop a relationship?
Extra caveat for this month: Spare us any salacious details. Just the kiss please.

Trak's Smut—I mean, smoochy story[]
Notes: This mushy pile of mush is from Recruitment Must Be Low, written for TheForce.Net's "Dear Diary" challenge. Please excuse Zuckuss's weird prose. You guys are lucky to even see this entry before I eventually post the whole series.

What could have been a bad thing ended up being surprisingly good today. An inconvenience with a surprise ending!
Zuckuss and Toryn Farr were in the turbolift of the [REDACTED], on our way to meet with [REDACTED] concerning [REDACTED]. While ascending to [REDACTED], the turbolift shuddered to a sudden stop. Toryn hit the controls, but nothing happened. We were stuck! Toryn looked to Zuckuss and said that we will simply need to wait it out. So, we stood there for a few minutes, in silence, not sure what to do or say.
Toryn turned to face Zuckuss, and for some reason, got very close to him, and she traced his mask with the tip of her finger. We looked at each other for a long moment, and Zuckuss said that he is reminded of when we were hiding out in the shower stall when the sprinkler system malfunctioned. Toryn laughed and told Zuckuss to hold his breath, which he did. Then, Toryn removed Zuckuss's mask and kissed him!
Zuckuss was shocked! But, he returned the affections. It is only the proper thing to do, after all! He put his arms around Toryn's waist, and then the turbolift jerked and started to move. We quickly parted and Zuckuss put his mask back on. Once the turbolift stopped, we got out and went to our meeting with [REDACTED], without another word as to what had transpired.
Zuckuss is really starting to like his new career very much!

- Perhaps the writings of the other authors on TFN are starting to get to me... :P For further clarification, Zuckuss is on a classified ship, and he's on his way to meet with an officer concerning his newfound Rebel status as a covert operative and any discussions on his missions, deployment, etc. He just needed to redact all of that as he's got that death mark to watch out for and if his journal falls into the wrong hands... Rhiannon Kraen by Atarumaster88[]
As a bit of a reference, Rhiannon is the daughter of Selu and Milya Kraen. Her first kiss was when she was thirteen. It was at school when one of the boys in the class took a sucker bet to kiss her. He approached her and after a brief conversation, kissed her to show his bravado to his friends. Shocked, Rhiannon was at first flattered, but then she heard the laughter of the other schoolboys and realized she had been set up. She attempted to smack the lad, but as she's blind, she missed. Rhiannon returned home in tears that day, which did not amuse her parents. Suffice to say that the young man had a talk with both Selu and his Noghri friend Morgedh clan Kel'nerh about the proper way to respect young ladies, especially Selu's daughter. She never spoke to him again. Note that I could have talked about her first actual romantic kiss with Kavlis Burke, but you can read about that in Through Her Eyes if you want. - He never messed with her again, no. In the long run, I doubt he learned anything else from the incident other than not picking on that specific individual. In retrospect, he was lucky her mother didn't go after him. Atarumaster88

Verita Ladola by Jedi Master 76[]
As a Jedi learner during the Mandalorian Wars, a young Verita was sent to Alderaan to learn from some of the finest Force-users in the galaxy to foster her gifts of Force healing. While she was there, she met Geryon Latona, prince of Alderaan, in the royal court. In spite of her Jedi training, she fell head-over-heels for him, even though he had a reputation as a philanderer. As was his nature, he hardly paid her a second glance during her training on Alderaan, but she pursued him relentlessly. Taken aback by her attempts to get his attention, Geryon began spending more time with the young Jedi and less time with his other companions, intrigued by her Force potential, her beauty, and her reserved demeanor, something most noblewomen he knew sorely lacked. When the time came for her to return to Dantooine to be knighted, Geryon snatched her aside before she reached the boarding ramp of her transport and kissed her, promising to meet her again someday.
The two remained in contact until Geryon undertook a diplomatic mission to Mandalorian space during the Jedi Civil War, and Verita was captured by the Sith shortly thereafter. -- JM76 Comm 03:03, February 26, 2012 (UTC)

- Most of her trainers didn't believe someone like Verita would pursue a womanizer like Geryon—they reasoned it off as a quaint friendship. Aside from a few close friends, no other Jedi discovered their relationship (although a few Masters had their suspicions). Geryon effectively disappeared, so they never met again. However, I'd imagined he'd be crushed if he found out about her capture. -- JM76 Comm 03:34, February 26, 2012 (UTC)
