A bit late here with the next round, sorry. Some Jawa knocked over a cask of the Gizer in the back and it was a mess.
Anyway, welcome back to Cafe Fanfic, where both the drinks AND the stories are fresh, inventive, and filled with variety. At least we hope so. Extra creative juice is six creds per shot, and no trying to bribe the barkeeps!
As usual, we're going to talk about fan-fiction (yours). The basic ground rules are the same. Please restrict this to stuff from your fan-fiction, but aside from that, no pressure. You can suggest, make observations, but no condemning other people's work and "I don't know" is a perfectly acceptable answer.
Also, please do suggest topics for future months if you like this little feature and want to see it continue.
Last month's topic on speciesism and diversity was provided by Goodwood. For August, we'll use another community submission for the topic, but I've got something special brewed up for July. It's summer (except in the Southern Hemisphere) and that means, among other things, it's time for the summer movie season, loaded with explosions, angry robots, more explosions, superheroes, supervillains, not-so-super heroes, and a few more gratuitous explosions.
July's topic: Synopsize an action scene in 200ish words or less. It could be large-scale, in terms of a space or ground battle. It could be smaller scale--a duel between two Force-users. It could be non-threatening, such as a sparring match between fighters or a friendly competition. It could be a bitter conflict or rivalry come to blows. Whatever it is, make it faster, more intense than a typical dialogue or exposition scene. Then talk briefly about influences, why you thought of the scene, anything that makes it unique, or other stuff you feel we should know. Atarumaster88 (Talk page) 16:50, July 13, 2011 (UTC)
