Alright, I waited a week or so because I didn't want to make a super cluster of consensus track topics. This proposal is very minor and does not add or detract anything super. I am calling for the removal of the stay on topic guideline on IRC because IRC has always been a place for relaxation, casual talk and contains no serious topic most of the time. This outdated section is not needed.

My other proposal is to simplify the voting policy introduction. It mostly contains the history of the voting policy and its old guidelines. It is not needed there and may confuse some users. The intro should include the current guidelines, nothing more. That is how it is done on all the other policy pages and that is how it should be for this page. I propose to remove or move this section of the intro: "Originally developed in January 2007,[1] the policy was later reformed to include a minimum of at least 250 mainspace edits and/or a month long membership on Star Wars Fanon in May of the same year.[2] The policy once again underwent changes in June 2007, making it mandatory that both 250 mainspace edits and a month long membership be acquired before voting, rather than one or the other."

That is all. Comment, vote and all that jazz below.-I'm the Chosen One 06:40, July 28, 2011 (UTC)

Voting will last until 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time on August 8th, 2011.

Rather than remove it completely, a better option would be to say that if there's some sort of official topic going on, then you don't change the topic. Any other time you can say whatever you feel like (within reason, of course). - Brandon Rhea Alliance Starbird (talk) 06:45, July 28, 2011 (UTC)
