Hello Star Wars Fanoneers. As the title of this CT suggests, it is about the Archivist group. Who are the Archivists? They are the review group responsible for reviewing Featured Work nominations.
Technically, there are six Archivists, but there really aren't that many. Only Atarumaster88, Fiolli, Goodwood, and Solus have worked on the FWNs for a long time.
Back in 2009, this thread was made to remove an inactive Archivist and replace him with someone who would be active. Now, three years later, I feel it is necessary for this to happen again.
Katana Geldar was elected as part of the original Archivist group and was a great contributor to the FW process for a long time. However she has not edited on Star Wars Fanon since December 9, 2009. That's almost three years ago. Ataru has attempted to contact her, but she has not responded. Ataru and I have talked and agree that it is time to remove her.
The goal of this CT is not simply to be destructive, but also constructive. With the Short Story contest happening currently, there will hopefully be attention on the Featured Works. Ideally, new users will feel the desire to review and vote on the FWs, as we've started to see recently. Maybe within the next few months a new user, perhaps someone like Joev14 who has already shown interest in the FW process, will step up and become a potential candidate for Archivistship.

UPDATE: Per Brandon's comment in the Oppose section, I'm adding to the CT the removal of Kathkira, who has also not worked on FWNs since 2010.

Opposed for now, but I can be swayed. I'm opposing because Kathkira is also inactive, and this CT is only about Katana. Kathkira is not 2009 inactive, but still inactive. Her last edit here was in January. Her last edit having to do with anything remotely related to FW reviewing was this CT in November. She has not edited a FWN since June 26, 2010, over two years—and only 6 or 7 months removed from Katana's last edits to a FWN.
