Grand Admiral Ford Avern, born under the name Fircc Yalen, callsigned "Godfather" in the battlefield, was a male Human who served the Galactic Republic in the Grand Army of the Republic. During the early years of the devastative galactic conflict known as the Second Clone Wars, Avern was assigned by the Supreme Chancellor as a general in the ranks of the Great Clone Forces. He first joined action when he was given the task to lead an invasion upon the jungle world of Vryvon.
After the invasion, Ford became friends with Exhart Martineus, the genetic template for the clone army. And as the war developed, he became a most trusted friend of Exhart. When the war was nearing its end, Avern was promoted by his good friend into the first Grand Admiral of the Great Clone Forces, a rank he respectfully deserved.
