The Fliggerians were an amphibious humanoid race native to the Outer Rim planet of Fligger. A member of this species played sabacc with Lando Calrissian and Rooty on Nar Shaddaa.
Biology and appearance[]
The Fliggerians were 2-meter-tall humanoid amphibians with Bith-like facial features, gold skin, seven-fingered hands, and four whisker-like protrusions on their cheeks. They also have two horn-like protrusions on their heads, and a green head-tail on the back of their heads.
Society and culture[]
Fliggerians could work for any affiliation and occupation, and could speak in a language which consists of frog-like croaks. They could speak Basic. They also shared their name with the Fliggerian firebeast, a type of non-sentient creature from their homeworld. They were one of the 5 million sentient species (alien races) known to the Empire in the galaxy.
History[]
The Fliggerians were the sentient descendants of a non-sentient amphibian species. They evolved on Fligger, a swamp planet located in the Fligger system within the Kibilini sector of the Outer Rim Territories. Their homeworld was explored sometime between 3000 BBY and 1000 BBY, during the Blazing of Hydian and Ruusan. They shared their home sector with the Jostaari and the Neelabi. In 25 ABY, their homeworld's population was up to 100 million, the same year the Yuuzhan Vong invaded their home galaxy. Their homeworld became a part of Darth Krayt's Sith Empire in 137 ABY.
