First Forn was a member of the Dark Vanguard. Bred for ruthless determination in pursuit of his quarry, he was Valin Aresh's most dedicated and relentless hunter, and succeeded in tracking various quarries throughout the Supreme Modality.
In 1,385 BBY, Aresh had assigned First Forn on a classified mission which he kept even from his apprentice, Aldayr Nikodon. The mission sought a target within the M-5 quadrant of the galaxy, and First Forn sought Aresh's aid to distract Mali Darakhan after the success of Operation Liberator.
