The Menowpeak Inscriptions were a group of ancient texts inscribed on a small stone, located on the planet Menowpeak. The inscriptions, when translated, spoke of the Great Divines, three force beings said to be the oldest in the universe. They were the only known records that mentioned the Great Divines and were only partially translated. The inscriptions were estimated to have been created about 4 million years before The Battle of Yavin by Larkite Jestren, the same man who successfully partially translated them. The stone that the inscriptions are etched on lied deep within the surface of the planet Menowpeak, close to it's core. When anyone landed on Menowpeak they would experience a strange pulling sensation toward the Menowpeak Inscriptions. Some considered this "pulling" to be the work of the Great Divines mentioned in the text, while others thought of it as some sort of strange gravitational phenomena.
