Never had I encountered a Jedi so strong in the Force.
—Barberre, on Temiri Blagg.[src]

Temiri Blagg, referenced as Broomboy by his congregation brothers, was a human member of the Jedi Sodality hailing from the planet Cantonica, where he was raised among minor slaves in the local fathier breeding. Ever since his childhood, he had displayed extraordinary Force sensitiveness, manifesting itself in the use of telekinesis while performing daily duties, and was later capable of intercepting Force lightning.

As a Knight, Blagg embarked upon the training of the padawan Jaa Kassa. Accompanied by him and the Jedi Master Latiholt, he participated in the investigation on Lah'mu, performed to determine the cause of the Ahch-To Cataclysm. The mission led him to engage in a duel against Xittor, which he and his apprentice survived being assisted by the former Jedi Master Barberre, residing in a nearby pithouse. On their way back, Blagg and Kassa came across Leon, the missing son of Rey Skywalker, and took him with them to the Capital Station.

Biography[]

Childhood[]

Early life[]

I was a slave that his parents decided to collateralize and of course lost.
—Blagg, reaching back to his childhood.[src]

Born on the planet of Cantonica in 25 ABY, Temiri Blagg was one day abandoned by his parents as a result of a lost gambling game of theirs. Under Bargwil Tomder's possession, the boy was tasked with caring for the local breeding of fathiers, which in time became the boy's goal, with the very animals being somewhat of friends. His fellow minor slaves, being Arashel Sar and Oniho Zayi, accompanied him in in the job, as their low height—taking into consideration the cramped stalls where fathier were kept—conduced to the the effectiveness of the job. In his leisure time, Temiri would spend long hours playing with his co-slaves and listen to stories told by travelers from other planets whenever an occasion occurred.[6]

Incident with Finn and Rose Tico[]

Go, go, go!
—Temiri Blagg in the wake of animals escaping.[src]

In 34 ABY, Resistance activists such as Finn and Rose Tico arrived on Cantonica when conducting a secret mission. During their escape from local police patrols, they found themselves in the stable. Saddened by the view of one of the fathiers, the woman opened its stall, where she found Temiri, as well, sitting with his legs crossed near a clump of rags. Having noticed the unexpected intruder, the boy would have broadcast her presence had she not shown him a ring displaying the rebel emblem and given it to him as a present. After the fathier nodded at him, the minor slave opened the main entrance using a door controller, screaming along the way as though he was watching a race.[1]

Broom incident[]

Shortly, the young Blagg and Arashel had the undeniable pleasure to listen to a story told by Onoho Zaya about a Jedi. As he spoke, the boy imitated the Jedi's moves through a doll. At the eventual moment, the room was entered by Bargwill Tomder, who roared in order to scare away the kids, in addition to holding a whip upright for the same reason. As he went outside, Temiri drew a broom via the Force and began sweeping the straw scattered upon the ground, though while doing the job, he fixed his eyes at the starry sky, and having spotted a comet or a spacecraft jumping into the hyperspace, he raised the shaft towards it.[1]

Adulthood[]

Jedi training and padawan assignment[]

Ever since his childhood, he has displayed extraordinary Force sensitiveness. It was why Master Finn embarked upon his training himself.
—Barberre, on Temiri Blagg.[src]

While the Jedi Sodality, a movement cultivating the teachings of Rey Skywalker, was being in the process of formation, Finn returned to Cantonica and liberated Temiri Blagg, admitting him to the organization this way. Due to the extraordinary Force sensitiveness which the boy displayed, Finn took care of his training himself. Other members of the congregation were aware of his origins, so they called him Broomboy.[2]

Once sworn in as a Knight, Blagg picked up the training of the padawan Jaa Kassa, a boy subsequently localized by Lamma.[5]

In 51 ABY, the younger son of Rey Skywalker, Leon, vanquished, with the older son Jacen being charged with the manslaughter, which led him into exile on the planet of Exegol. Rey herself did not withdraw from the Sodality until 53 ABY.[7]

Investigation into Ahch-To Cataclysm[]

Initiation[]

In 56 ABY, the planet Ahch-To, constituting the anchor of the Jedi Sodality, was destroyed, and within a few days a farmer of Lah'mu reported being in possession of a clue likely to provide more detailed information on the case. As a result, the Galactic Commissioner Poe Dameron dispatched his most daring pilots, including Gial Dameron, Ally, and Benenson, who were ultimately slain on their way by an individual named Xittor aboard the CR90 corvette.[8]

The issue brought a debate between the Galactic Union authorities and those heading the Capital Station congregation, as a result of which the most experienced Jedi were resolved to be sent to the place.[9]

Action[]

During the travel, Blagg caught his apprentice asleep and woke him up and, to his happiness, turned it all into a joke, in addition to placating him by insisting that Latiholt had not noticed anything. When in the cockpit, Jaa was the first to localize the wreck of the corvette floating in the vacuum. Latiholt did not reflect Blagg and Kassa's satisfaction, though, entering a dispute with the latter and claiming the mission to be a suicidal one, remarking that there were no guards around. Despite sensing fear in his apprentice's mind, Temiri did not turn to him due to knowing it to be true indeed.[10]

Upon their arrival on Lah'mu, Latiholt was the one who led the way to the destination. Just before his entry, Jaa fell into a pensive mood again, making Blagg call him. Once the padawan looked around and took his hand off the wall, he opened his mouth as if about to tell him something, much us he spoke up in advance of him, suggesting he tell him another day. After they went in, although Latiholt and Blagg went closer to the counter and rung the bell, no one came. The latter remarked that the place in which they were was a strange one, after which — upon seeing the padawan falling into a pensive mood yet another time and leaving, deemed his behavior as strange. Blagg acknowledged his opinion, claiming it to stem from a variety of factors, one being by whom he was found and in which way.[10]

Personality[]

Mind-absent? Weird? Bad-mannered? There's many factors it stems from. First of all, the way he was found by Knight Lamma.
—Temiri Blagg, of Jaa Kassa.[10]

As a young boy, Blagg strongly believed in the Resistance, and it was that faith which prompted him to trust the newcomer Rose Tico.[1] As an adult, he maintained a partner relationship with his padawan and was understanding of him despite being aware of his personality problems.[10]

Physical appearance[]

As an child slave, Tamiri used to put on a white jacket, a blue T-shit, and long brown trousers, with boots in the same color; the boy wore a horse-shoer's file clapped to the belt.[6]
