Rufar Kakhuzi

Rufar Kakhuzi, also known as the Jedi Exile, was born on Dantooine, to Sela, a lone mother, his father having dissapeared a year after his birth. He was a lonely child, his only friends being the Rodian Danreb and his small teddy bear. He joined the Jedi, and was tutored by Master Arren Kae, who he flourished under. Under Kavar, his second master, he didn't flourish at all, and was often chastised for being disobedient. On one mission, he directly disobeyed Kavar, and was handed back to Master Kae for tutoring. When Revan started gathering Jedi Crusaders, to fight the Mandalorians, Rufar was reluctant, but, when Kae was exiled from the order, he finally agreed. During the Mandalorian Wars, he lost himself at Malachor, after using Bao-Dur's Mass shadow Generator to extinguish many lives. For this, he was exiled from the Jedi order, before he was called back five years later.

He then discovered the Jedi all but destroyed, and the only one Atris, a former lover of his. He agreed to search for the other Jedi Masters that had exiled him, and unite them on Dantooine. This he did, and he submitted to their judgement of stripping the force from him, before Kreia stopped them. He then travelled to Malachor V to confront her and the Sith triumvirate, who he defeated, thus refinding himself. After his redemption, he set off to find the missing Revan. In the Unknown Regions, he discovered Revan and his Army of Light, deep in battle with the True Sith. He joined Revan's war, and fought in two battles before Brianna was slain in his second battle. Taking off after the assailant, he found it to be Atris, who he defeated again, but spared her life. In doing this, his father, the light side incarnate, appeared, and offered him the chance to sacrifice his life to become part of the light side. Rufar accepted, and sacrificed his life to join the light.

History[]

Early life[]

Rufar Kakhuzi was born to a lone mother; his father he would not discover for many years after. His mother, Sela, was a human from the planet of Corellia. He was born in a small farmstead on Dantooine, and his family were shunned due to his mother's shady past, and the rumors of who his father really was. Because of this, Rufar grew up a lonely boy, desperate for company of his own age. The only friend that he had until the age of six was a small teddy bear named Tonfu. When he was six, a shuttle crashed from the sky, leaving alive only a single

survivor, a small Rodian, named Danreb. The only survivor of the shuttle crash, Danreb refused to speak of his past, who he was, where he was travelling from, and who the three dead Barabel's were. Instead, he begged only to be allowed to live with Rufar and his mother. Rufar and Danreb soon became great friends, as no one near would even approach the two. By the age of seven, they were closer than brothers, and completely inseperable. The only person that Rufar loved more was his mother. It was in that year that he noticed his mother's 'illness'. She was wasting away, consumed by a sadness that couldn't be appeased. Despite her young son being so happy now, she still missed Rufar's father terribly, and even, secretly, feared that her son's friendship with Danreb might mean that he grew less loving of her. Rufar noticed this, and begged her to tell him what was wrong, yet she refused to, and refused all conversation involving his father. His father was a matter that she refused to speak of. She concealed her grief behind a mask of smiles, and, all the while, she was wasting away. A few months later, a lone man approached their home, after having seen Danreb and Rufar playing on the plains. He introduced himself as a Jedi Knight, and said that Rufar had control of the force, and offered for him to be trained at the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine. Rufar's mother didn't want to lose Rufar as she had lost his father, but she was desperate for him to be trained as a Jedi. Rufar also felt a calling deep inside him, as if it was his destiny, and he longed to go. But all was no happy. Danreb had no force potential, and therefore couldn't be trained as a Jedi. Although it pained Rufar terribly to lose his only friend, his mother convinced him to go, and he left to become a Jedi.

Rufar Kakhuzi found himself more alone than ever at the Enclave, as he had grown used to having Danreb, and had always had his mother around, and he terribly missed them. As he now wasn't allowed contact with his family, he missed them more than he knew that any one could miss anyone else. The other pupils at the Enclave avoided him at first, as he was 'the new kid', but soon they began to speak more. Yet, when they did, they found Rufar to be reclusive and silent,

still missing his mother. It was then that he met the master that he was going to have as a young Jedi; Master Arren Kae. Kae was the kindest person that Rufar had ever met, and he warmed to her. Under her care and nurture, he developed as a person and a Jedi, and the other students found that the previously reclusive Rufar, was really a friendly, nice child, in a new environment. In return, Kae found Rufar to be an astute pupil. He studied hard and was skilled in the force and lightsaber combat, but was a rebel, often getting into trouble with other Jedi Masters for his disobedience, and tendency to argue with and disobey his elders. But Rufar ignored all of these, unless Kae chastised him, in which case he would always apologise to the offended Jedi and make a large effort to change.

Under Kae, Rufar continued to flourish for three years, until he reached the age of eleven, when he was ready to ascend to the level of a padawan, spelling the end of his training with Arren Kae. Rufar was devestated by this, as he had come to love Kae as a son loves his mother, yet the council, when he appealed, would not budge, earning them Rufar's derision, and leading to his disrespect of them and their wishes. He was, as a trouble case, assigned to the Jedi Master Kavar. Rufar found Kavar kinder and less strict than the other masters, but more strict and less friendly that his former master. He instinctivly disliked Kavar though, as he felt that he was replacing Kae. On the missions that Rufar travelled on with Kavar, Kavar noticed that he was rebellious, and didn't always respect his wishes, often disobeying Kavar in order to save others. Although Kavar thought this noble, he was angry that he was disobeying him and the council. Kavar took this as a threat to his and the council's authority and, as a result, constantly chastised Rufar. Yet Rufar didn't care, as the only person that he respected and obeyed was Arren Kae, and she was no longer his master. He frequently played up on Kavar, although the two got along quite well.

Kavar took him on many missions, but his whole idea about Rufar changed after their mission to Ukatis. They were trying to uncovere a large smuggling ring on the planet, one that had dealings with many large smugglers in the galaxy, and had taken a lot of Republic money. When they arrived in the Ukatis system, they were attacked by an unmarked, unnamed fighter, which they took to be a smuggler. This ship was far more nimble and speedy than theirs, and Kavar was hard pressed whilst flying it. After they took two hits to the

stern, Rufar was forced into trying something. Commandeering one of the defence fighters on the planets surface, he showed a surprising skill in Battle meditation, using their ship and the other fighter to easily overcome the smugglers fighter. Kavar was astounded; he had never taught Rufar the art of Battle meditation. He decided, at once, to assign him to have special classes with another young padawan, Bastila Shan, when they returned. But first, they had their mission. They landed on the only city on the planet, and set about exploring straight away.

They soon discovered that the smugglers were a very secret organisation, keeping to themselves and not actively being near the locals. The locals knew nothing of the smugglers, and, even though the two Jedi found a few, the few who did know anything refused to talk about it. After they used Force persuade to get the information out of a local, they managed to find out the location of the base, and they decided to destroy it. But the smugglers were one step ahead of them. Their spies had discovered that the Jedi knew, and they decided to punish the locals, by killing them throughout the city. As Kavar and Rufar infiltrated the base, the fighting started. Kavar commanded Rufar to stay with him and complete the mission, but Rufar refused, and decided to save the townspeople.

On the streets it was chaotic. The smugglers had broken out caches of massive, dangerous weaponry, and were firing at everyone in sight. The city was coming apart in pieces. Rufar ran through the streets, killing smugglers and rescuing the townspeople, whilst Kavar set the bomb. After Rufar set the smugglers into full retreat, they fled back to their base and discovered Kavar, before imprisoning him. Kavar was still in the base, and the smugglers knew nothing of the bomb, so Rufar had only an hour to rescure Kavar. He used a stealth ability to get past the guards, before rescuing Kavar and cutting a hole in the roof. After they reached the streets, the smuggling base was destroyed, and the two Jedi had completed their mission.

Back on board the ship, Kavar instantly started berating Rufar, and the two had a full scale argument. Kavar said that he had directly endangered both of their lives, whilst refusing a direct order from an elder, a master and a council member. Rufar maintained that he was doing it solely for the people, to guard the innocent and weak, as Jedi were meant to do. He asked Kavar if the Jedi council were so blinded by their power to refuse help to those who needed it most. Fuming, Kavar said that Rufar wouldn't hear the last of this, and that he would be branded a 'trouble maker' in the eyes of the Jedi Council.

The Jedi Crusaders[]

After he returned, Kavar fulfilled both his promises, assigning him to special classes with the other young padawan, Bastila Shan, in Battle meditation, and he told the council of Rufar's misbehaviour. The Jedi Council, mostly master Vrook Lamar were quick to chastise and come down on Rufar for his misbehaviour. Kavar refused to train him any longer and, once more, Rufar was, much to his delight, assigned to his former master, Arren Kae. Kae was exactly as he remembered her, and he developed even more as a Jedi, much more than he had under the steely Kavar. It was at this time that the, then fellow padawan, Atris, began to develop feelings for him, feelings of which he wouldn't

discovere for many years to come. He completed his training under Kae, and became a full knight of the Jedi order.

It was a year after his knighthood that the Mandalorian clans began to gather under the banner of Mandalore the Ultimate, gathering in an almost army, and attacking small planets in the outer rim. At first, the Jedi council pretended that they knew nothing of this, and that the Mandalorians were just carrying out small, routine raids, but, as more planets fell, they could deny it no longer. Much to the anger of many, the Jedi Council refused to act, and Rufar's idol Revan and his friend Alek Squinquargesimus began to grow restless, demanding action. When the Jedi Council continued to refuse, they started gathering Jedi to their cause, creating the Jedi Crusaders, the Jedi who would go and fight the Mandalorians. At first, Rufar was skeptical, and refused to join, but, as more and more Jedi joined, it soon became only him and his friend Bastila Shan who refused to go. Master Arren Kae seemed restless at this time, and Rufar was shocked when she was suddenly exiled from the order, for having a child. Rufar knew nothing of this child, and he was shocked that Master Kae had a child, and was exiled. Without master Kae, the order was nothing to Rufar. After the Mandalorians attacked Iridonia, Master Kae came to Rufar, just before she left, and spoke to him, saying that he should join the crusaders as she was going to do, that he would be saving countless lives, as the Jedi were supposed to do. That decided it for Rufar, and he joined them, with Bastila's warnings ringing in his ears. He truly felt that what he was doing was right.

The Mandalorian War[]

The first battle that Rufar fought in with the Jedi Crusaders was the Battle of Dagary minor. The Mandalorians had attacked Dagary minor, a Republic planet in the Outer rim, and the Republic fought back, the Jedi Crusaders with them now. In the battle, Revan instantly utilised Rufar's skill of Battle meditation, using it to fight the Mandalorians. Yet the strength of numbers and the Mandalorians overwhelmed the Republic, and they lost Dagary minor. Revan conceded that there weren't enough Jedi, and used contacts in the Jedi Temple and Enclave to gather more troops. The war waged on, and the Republic lost many planets to the powerful Mandalorians. But, although the Mandalorians were winning more battles, the Neo-Crusaders were losing men, whereas the Jedi were gaining men all the time, and, soon, the tide began to turn. Rufar's battle meditation and heroic actions in many battles saw him rise to the rank of General, and he earned what he had always wanted; the respect of his master, Arren Kae. When the Republic attacked Taris, a planet under Mandalorian control, in the Second Battle of Taris, Rufar's battle meditation cleared the Republic forces a large way through to the planets surface. When the Republic landed, they found themselves instantly assailed by the fearsome and fearless Neo-Crusaders. Rufar led a large portion of the army in a sally on the Neo-Crusaders' northern front, shattering a path through for the Republic. After a long and violent battle, the Republic finally managed to gain victory of the Mandalorians, liberating Taris.

It was then that Rufar discovered the real reason that Kae had joined the Jedi Crusaders. He met Yusanis, the father of her daughter and her long love. Yusanis was a strong, powerful Echani general, who had contributed heavily to the war effort. And, in the war, the Mandalorians were not yet defeated, as they showed in the Battle of Jaga's Cluster, when they won the battle and Cassus Fett killed the Republic fleet commander. Yet the Republic came back, winning decisive victories at Onderon and Dxun, before winning at Althir. By now, the Mandalorians were beginning to retreat, and Revan forced them into a battle at Malachor, starting the Battle of Malachor V Although the Mandalorians were losing the war, they were far from defeated, and they fought ferociously, keeping the Republic at bay. Revan was delayed, but when he arrived he killed Mandalore the Ultimate in single combat, whilst the dark side energy emenating from the planet below gave renewed vigour to the Jedi. Although Rufar hadn't noticed it, in defying the council he had began to become a fallen Jedi, and succumb to the dark side, as had many of the others there in that battle. They forced the Mandalorians back towards Malachor, and into their trap. The war, and the effects of Malachor, had, as Revan intended, corrupted most of the Jedi, and those that weren't corrupted would be destroyed in Revan and Rufar's trap. Rufar had been corrupted heavily, which allowed him to activate the trap and snuff out hundreds of innocent lives. He

told the Iridonian mechanic, Bao-Dur, to activate the trap that he had created, and he activated the Mass shadow generator, drawing hundreds of ships into a huge gravity vortex, destroying them and shattering Malachor into pieces.

Yet Rufar was no Sith, and he was shocked, horrified and appalled by what he had done. Despite being hailed as a hero, along with Revan and Malak, of the Republic, he didn't join Revan when he travelled into the unknown regions to 'track down the Mandalorian remnants'. Rufar was shattered, and he felt the deaths of all of the Jedi he had killed in his mind, raging at him all the time, allowing him no peace. He was forced into unconciously deafening himself to the force, and he lost his control of the force. In addition to his deafening to the force and horror at what he had done, he discovered that Arren Kae, his former master, had been reported missing at Malachor, her body never found. He knew that she wasn't in the gravity vortex, and he was shocked that she was dead. The Mandalorian war had left a gaping hole in him, as he had created a massive rent in the force above Malachor, and his mind was shattered because of the effects of Kae's death and the battle at Malachor. There was nothing left for him, so he decided to return to the Jedi council, to answer for his crimes. There was nothing that they could do to him that would punish him, as his mental torment was overwhelming.

Exile[]

You have returned? Are you so arrogant as to believe that you're too powerful for us to punish you? If so, you are sorely mistaken!"

Rufar decided to return to the Jedi, to try and redeem himself and find healing. When he returned, the Jedi Council was highly angered at what he had done, and called him to a trial. They were charging him with following Revan to war, but

the real reason was that they feared him, the wound he had created and the power he would gain, and they needed a scapegoat to punish out of the Jedi Crusaders who had left the order. In his trial, he pled with the council, apologising and begging for healing, yet the stern Vrook Lamar wouldn't be swayed, and neither would Atris, who felt betrayed, as her love had been misplaced, or Kavar, who had disliked Rufar since he disobeyed him all those years earlier. The Council decided to Exile Rufar, who was astounded at such a punishment. Yet he respected the council's wishes and, handing over his lightsaber, left for Dantooine.

On Dantooine, he went to seek out his mother. Yet, when he reached his former home, he discovered that there were two Rodians living in it, a small child and a female. He discovered that they were the wife and child of his childhood playmate Danreb, and now lived there. Danreb had dissapeared a month earlier, visiting family. When he asked after his mother, he discovered that she had died three years after he left to join the Jedi, and was buried by the house. She had left only a note for him, which was to become one of his most treasured possessions.

My Dear Rufar,

I can feel that I am dying. The truth is, I've been dying since you were born. When your father left, grief consumed me, and when you left also, the grief began to destroy me. But It's not your fault. I loved your father so much, and when he left it destroyed me. But he had to, and I understand that. I'm sorry that I cannot tell you who your father is, but you will understand when you meet him, as I know you will. I see in you the same power, ability strength as your father, and I know that your destinies are entwined. You had to join the Jedi, to fulfil your destiny, of that I'm sure. I'm sorry that I cannot tell you who he is, but, one day, you will understand.

Consumed by grief, Rufar instantly left Republic space, seeking out solitude in the Outer rim. In the Outer rim, he roamed sparsely populated planets, seeking to be alone, and seeking healing. For now, the grief of losing a mother, and Master Kae, one as dear to him as a mother, coupled with the wound in the force, had destroyed him, and he was now an empty shell, devoid of the force, and his mind was shattered. He was no longer truly alive, he was just a shell of his former self. He searched the galaxy, desperate to find a way to re-discover himself. Yet no amount of meditation allowed him to, and he continued to roam the galaxy, completely lost.

Return to the Republic[]

Well Exile, it seems somebody likes you. We've been charged to escort you back into Republic space.

Five years after Rufar started his wanderings, he was sought out by the Republic. The Republic claimed that the Jedi had said that he was wanted back in Republic space, and that it was their duty to escort him back. The Jedi Civil war had torn the galaxy apart, and there were few Jedi left. Rufar imagined that he was being recalled to the order, due to the lack of Jedi, and he was given rooms in the Harbinger, a Republic capital ship. They were due to head straight to

Telos, but they picked up a distress signal from a nearby ship, and they moved to pick it up. When they searched the ship, they found it empty, save for the battered body of Darth Sion. They also picked up the, seemingly deserted, Ebon Hawk as well. After members of the crew began to dissapear, Sion awoke, and the Sith Assassins showed themselves, and slaughtered the crew, whilst Rufar was hidden away by an HK-50 droid. When Kreia rescued the Exile, and tried to escape in the Ebon Hawk, the Harbinger fired upon them, and severely damaged them, as well as injuring, almost mortally, Kreia and Rufar. They were forced to land at the Peragus mining facility, where, the seemingly dead, Kreia was taken to the Morgue, and Rufar to a kolto tank. When he awoke, he discovered the inhabitants of the other kolto tanks dead, and the others in the mining facility killed. The only person that he discovered alive was Atton Rand, who he discovered in a holding cell. After rescuing Atton, the two took to each other at once. They managed, with the help of T3-M4 to escape Peragus, but they were attacked by the Harbinger, now under the control of Darth Sion. They just managed to make it out alive, before the station and Peragus was destroyed.

Restoration[]

So, it seems that there are two restoration projects going on at Telos. Chodo Habats and Atris's attempts at rebuilding the Jedi."

The four companions, Kreia, T3-M4, Atton and Rufar fled to Citadel Station, above Telos, where they were promptly arrested for destroying the station. When Rufar admitted it, and gave his reasons, Lieutenant Dol Grenn refused to believe them, and gave the order for Rufar and his companions to be executed. They were placed into shock cages, but Rufar destroyed them with the force, freeing his companions and escaping the station. Stealing back the impounded Ebon Hawk, they fled to the surface of Telos, where they were attacked by the turrets of the station guard. Maintaining his innocence, Rufar swore to prove that it was Sion, not him, who had destroyed Citadel station. He explored the planet, and discovered Bao-Dur, his mechanic from many years before. Bao-Dur once more swore allegiance to the 'General', and agreed to follow him. They found many mercenaries on Telos, but evaded them all, before infiltrating a Czerka base and taking the parts to fix the Ebon Hawk. They flew it to the polar region, hoping to discovere WOM, a droid that Bao-Dur was particularly keen on

finding, but instead they found Atris, and her handmaiden sisterhood.

Inside, they were placed in force cages, and were going to be heavily interrogated. But the Exile escaped, and discovered Atris once more. The Jedi master was angered that he had come to her academy, and refused to speak to him. Yet Rufar was intelligent, and he played on the love that he now knew that she felt for him, and he finally got her to divulge the information he needed. He promised to find the remaining Jedi masters, and gather them on Dantooine, but Atris was skeptical of his chances, and believed that all he would do was kill them. Before he left, Rufar said this to Atris: "Im sorry for what I've done. I went to war because it was necessary, nor because of war itself. I need redemption, and must find the Jedi masters for help." Atris had noticed how the Exile was little more than a shell, devoid of life, but she also sensed that it was returning to him, slowly at first, as were his force powers. After hearing this, she gave him his lightsaber that had been taken from him all those years ago, saying that he would need it on his quest. As Rufar left, Brianna, last of the handmaidens, stowed away on board his ship, unnoticed by all.

Quest for the lost Jedi[]

What? We gotta trawl halfway through the galaxy looking for a bunch of oldies who kicked you out of their order? Where's the sense in that?."
"It's necessary. For me, and for the galaxy.

First, Rufar travelled to Nar Shaddaa, where he encountered the refugees from the Jedi civil war. They had many problems with the other inhabitants, and he freed them, healing himself in the process. The refugees were weak, and Rufar was instantly filled with compassion. But the Exchange angered Rufar, as they fed off the weak and grew off them. Rufar tried to reason with their leader, a Quarren named Visquis, but Visquis would have none of it. Rufar was forced into killing many of the Exchange, but Visquis escaped in his yacht. He travelled to find G0-T0, his boss in the Exchange. Whilst this was happening, Rufar and Attons friendship was developing also, but Atton seemed heaviily troubled. When Rufar asked him what was wrong, Atton, unusually, clammed up, and wouldn't answer. Rufar finally persuaded him to open up to him, and he told him his life story.

Atton had fought in the Mandalorian War, but had defected to the Sith. He had trained as a Sith assassin, and had only left when he had discovered that he also possessed the force, and he would be broken, and made into a dark Jedi should he be discovered. So he fled, and turned to being a smuggler instead, ending up being arrested on Peragus. Rufar was shocked, but he still forgave Atton, and the two's friendship continued. Meanwhile, Brianna also was beginning to open up to Rufar. The, previously secretive, handmaiden had decided to open up to him. She told Rufar of Atris's feelings for him previously, and how she now thought of him as a brutal, war orientated man, and Rufar spoke against that, saying he went to

war to help those who were weak. It was then that Brianna said that she believed him, because her mother also had done the same thing. When Rufar asked into the name of her mother, Brianna told him that it was Arren Kae. Rufar was astounded, and happily surprised to find the daughter of one who he had loved almost like a mother, and he opened up his life to her. This discovery made the two grow closer, and also made Rufar realise the true force potential of Brianna. WHen he offered to train her, she gave up her oath and agreed.

When they explored Nar Shaddaa deeper, they discovered Mira, a young woman feeling from a Wookiee bounty hunter, named Hanharr, with no family or any one she could turn to for aid. Filled with pity, Rufar took her in, and she chose to join him in his quest. She knew Zez-Kai-Ell, the master they were looking for, well, and she chose to lead them to him. She led them to a small apartment, where Zez-Kai-Ell had made residence for the past few years, and they found him there. Seeing the Exile, he feared that he had joined the Sith and come for revenge, so he fled, running to his small starfighter. The four ran back to the Ebon Hawk, where they gave chase, but G0-T0's yacht got there first. Zez-Kai-Ell was captured by G0-T0, and they were forced to pull out of range of the heavy guns of G0-T0's yacht, and trail it from a distance. When he finally landed, it was on the barren, volcanic surface of Mustafar. The Ebon Hawk put down close by, and infiltrated G0-T0's yacht, where they discovered that Sion would be coming to 'collect' Zez-Kai-Ell in a few hours. They realised then that they only had a small amount of time to rescue Zez-Kai-Ell, and they abandoned most forms of stealth, incapacitating guards when thy found them. When they reached Zez-Kai-Ell's holding cell, they found him there thinking that Rufar had come for revenge. In reality, he had no idea of doing this, and he explained this, before rescuing him.

They got him out of the yacht and into the Ebon Hawk just as the Harbinger arrived, carrying Sion. They saw, from a distance, how Sion's anger destroyed G0-T0's yacht, sending burning rubble into the already fiery Mustafar. They had rescued Zez-Kai-Ell. Zez-Kai-Ell agreed to call a meeting on Dantooine, but he said that he already knew that Master Kavar was dead. He agreed to find Master Vrook, whilst Rufar was to find Master Vash on Korriban. Rufar agreed, and they went their seperate ways.

The dead planet[]

When they exited the ship onto the barren surface of Korriban, they discovered the remnants of the civil war that had broken after Revan had visited the academy. Rufar's force powers had begun to return, and Bao-Dur agreed to construct a lightsaber for him. When he did, it wasn't like the green, single handed one he had wielded previously. It was an orange, double bladed one. With his new lightsaber, Kreia offered to give him more training, an offer which Rufar accepted. Although he wasn't realising it, with the return of the force, the return of himself, the person he lost at Malachor, surrendering it for a shell, was returning, slowly. When they explored the Valley of the Dark Lords, they discovered the tombs, plundered and blocked, and the Hssiss, the dark side dragons that inhabited the planet. They travelled up the valley, to the Shyrack cave, where Kreia told Rufar that great power was emenating from. Upon exploration, they discovered the secret tomb of Ludo Kressh.

In the tomb, Rufar entered alone, and saw that it's name that was carved on the doorway was the Palace of Visions. Upon entering, he discovered why. There were many visions inside, the first one showing a time long back, when Malak and Revan were recruiting for the Jedi Crusaders. Rufar knew that what he had done was the right thing to do, but that he shouldn't have disobeyed the council, but he realised that he would happily give up being a Jedi to save those people. The

Ludo Kressh's tomb — The Palace of Visions

second vision was from the second battle of Dxun where he had sacrificed a large portion of troops to get through a minefield at the Mandalorians. He realised now that what he had done was wrong, and he destroyed the mines himself. The third vision showed his companions, claiming that Kreia was a Sith. When they asked him who he would join, he said that he would oppose Kreia, as she was a Sith and therefore his enemy. The final vision was of the dark lord Revan, in the actual tomb chamber. Revan merely attacked, and Rufar passed through, to the Sith sarcophagus, where he discovered the remains of Ludo Kressh, and his fabled war sword. When he exited the tomb, he had made the right choices in the visions where he had made the wrong ones in his life, and he gained a portion of his true self back, once again.

After leaving the tomb, he took his companions and entered the ruined academy. The academy was completely ruined after the civil war, and inhabited only by Tuk'ata. When he was assailed by Sith Assassins, he feared the worst for Master Vash. Using a training computer, he managed to get into the punishment room, where he found Master Vash in a cage, being tortured by Sith Assassins. Killing the assassins, he convinced Master Vash that he wasn't there to kill her, and they, with all haste, made for the exit. But, in the central chamber, they found Darth Sion waiting for them. Master Vash and Rufar ignited their lightsabers, and his companions there vibroblades, but they couldn't defeat the Sith Lord, and they were force to flee back to the Ebon Hawk, with Sith Assassins in hot pursuit. They made a speedy escape from the valley, and flew up into the skies.

Reunion[]

While Lonna Vash made her way straight to Dantooine, Mira told Rufar that there was something that she must clear up on Nar Shaddaa. Meanwhile, on the ship, the members of the crew were beginning to succumb to distractions. Brianna finally confessed her love for Rufar, and Rufar realised that he loved her too, whilst Mira and Atton began to develop a serious relationship. Rufar realised that this could make them all act irrationally, but he also realised that it was a natural thing for humans, and he didn't stop it. Meanwhile, Rufar's training with Kreia was going well, and he seemed to recognise her training style from somewhere, but he couldn't remember where. His force powers had almost completely returned, as had his person.

On Nar Shaddaa, Mira sought out her arch enemy Hanharr the Wookiee. Rufar knew the background, and he agreed to accompany her as a bodyguard. When she found Hanharr, Hanharr roared and instantaneously attacked her, forcing Rufar to intervene and rescue Mira. Once he had separated the fight, Mira told Hanharr that she was releasing him from his life debt to her, and, although this pleased him also, he was angered that any creature should show him pity, and he attacked. They were forced to fight back, and they left Hanharr for dead on the Nar Shaddaa docks.

Yet Rufar didn't die, and he was found their by his love Brianna, who took him back to the Ebon Hawk, where Atton and Mira were, and they told them how Kreia was a Sith Lord, and how they had to travel to Telos. The others agreed, and they set off for Telos.

When they arrived at Dantooine, they found the Jedi masters about to start their

meeting, but they wouldn't allow the Exile to hear. While he wandered the plains of Khoonda, they had their meeting, before calling him back. There, they explained to him that they hadn't exiled him from the order purely because he had followed Revan to war, but because they needed to make an example of someone, and they feared him. They then told him that their reason for what they were about to do was the same thing, and they told him that they must cut him off from the force. Despite this being a monumental sacrifice, he agreed, as he knew that it was for the good of the galaxy. As they placed him on a stasis field and were

Masters killed — The Jedi masters are killed

about to begin the process, when Kreia entered, and told the, that they couldn't do that, and that the Exile's destiny was far greater than their small, dogmatic minds could comprehend, and she revealed that she was a Sith Lord, a member of the Sith Triumvirate, in league with Darth Sion and Darth Nihilus. She killed the masters then, with a massively powerful Force drain, and left the Exile for dead, travelling to Telos, and Atris.

Hypocrasy[]

When the Ebon Hawk travelled, with full speed, to Telos, they arrived at the academy and found it deserted. They explored deeper, and found the handmaidens engaged in an archaic, dark side ritual, and Rufar realised that Atris had turned to the dark side. He stopped the ritual, and the handmaiden sisters, who hadn't realised that their mistress had turned to the dark side wouldn't believe it, and they attacked. Rufar summoned up his refound force powers, and he placed them all in a stasis field, before going after Atris. He found her in her meditation

chamber, surrounded by Sith holocrons, the reason of her fall. He fought her, and found her to be a formidable opponent, but finally defeated her. She begged for death, but Rufar wouldn't kill an unarmed opponent, and he let her go, starting her on the path of redemption. But, when he returned to the main chamber, he found all of the handmaidens dead, and drained of the force, and Darth Nihilus, Lord of Hunger, standing at the center of the carnage. Atris commanded him to flee, as she engaged Nihilus in combat, and Rufar reboarded the Ebon Hawk with his companions and left.

On board the ship, it was discovered that both Brianna and Mira were pregnant, Mira with Atton and Brianna with Rufar. This joyous occasion was marred only by the fact that they would have to travel to Malachor to face Traya. Rufar realised that he had known this all along, and that this was part of his destiny. What he didn't realise was that in submitting to the council's will and rescuing them, whilst showing great love for another human (Brianna) which he didn't need to do, he had almost refound hi soul, and the last thing he needed to do was to return to Malachor to get it back, as well as complete his redemption.

Return to Malachor[]

So, this is Malachor. The place where my people were blown from the sky."

When they arrived on Malachor, they found the surface littered with the remains of dead Republic and Mandalorian ships and warriors, and the only survivors of the battle to be Storm Bestss, the predatory, carnivorous creatures of the dark side. They attacked instantly, and the companions were forced to fend them off. After much travelling, they finally came across the Trayus Academy. He knew then that he had to enter alone, and he commanded the others to return to the ship before entering.

Inside, he was attacked by a large group of Sith Assassins, who he easily fought

off, but, standing in the center of the main hall, was Darth Sion, Lord of Pain. Although Rufar tried to redeem Sion, Sion refused, to attached to his power and strength, and too hate filled. For Sion knew that the only thing holding his body together was hate and pain, and he knew that he mustn't let go of that, or he would die. Rufar fought him again and again, and struck him down again and again, until finally, Sion told Rufar how he hated him too much to let him live or to give up. When Rufar still defeated him, Sion grew angry, and hated Rufar all the more, as he couldn't comprehend how one of the light could defeat him. Rufar told him that it was because the light was stronger, and Sion only had to accept that, and he already knew the truth. Sion accepted it then, and surrendered life. Rufar travelled further, into the secondary chamber, where he found Darth Nihilus, who Atris hadn't killed.

Whereas Sion had relied on brute strength, Nihilus used the dark side of the force far more, and Rufar found him just as strong an opponent. When Nihilus tried to feed off Rufar, he found that he couldn't as Rufar was still broken, and still not complete. Rufar used this to his advantage, and found that Nihilus had lost his greatest power, and, buoyed up, he defeated him. As Nihilus died, Rufar was just about to remove the mask, when dark side energy claimed Nihilus' body. Rufar then made his way through to the Trayus Core. In the Trayus Core, he found Darth Traya, and asked her why she had done it. She told him that she hated the force, and was trying to destory it, therefore destroying life. For, she told Rufar, she also had been at the Battle of Malachor V, and she also had been

wounded by the force, like Rufar. When Rufar asked her who she was before she became Darth Traya, she cackled, and told him that he should know her well. For Darth Traya was his former master, Arren Kae.

Shocked by this betrayal, Rufar offered her redemption, just as she had offered him the chance to join the Jedi Crusaders all those years ago. She told him that she was too far down the path to the dark side for redemption, and she attacked him. Although she was a formidable opponent, Rufar soon defeated her, but she then unveiled her secret, telikenetic lightsaber combat, which caught Rufar off guard. A violent battle ensued, but Rufar finally defeated her. She told him his future then, before falling down, dead. Rufar had redeemed himself by defeating the Sith Trumvirate, and, by carrying out the will of the Jedi Council, he had found himself in the process. He had redeemed himself, found himself, sealed the wound in the force and the woman he loved was happy, and, as the Trayus Core collapsed all about him, he stood there, ready to die, happy.

But he didn't die. The crew of the Ebon Hawk piloted her out of the gulf to rescue him, and, grabbing Traya's body, they fled. He knew that he had to tell Brianna, as it was her right, and, when he did, she took it better than he thought she would. Both of them were terribly sad though, as she had lost a mother, and he one as dear to him as a mother. But he knew what his new quest was, and there was no time for grievances, as they had to find the Lord Revan.

Quest for Revan[]

Anyone know where the 'Dark Lord' went, if he's so powerful?"

As Bao-Dur activated the Mass Shadow Generator to destroy Malachor, he was consumed by grief at the thought that it was his fault, for making the generator, that so many people died. Consumed by grief, unnoticed, he leapt out of the Ebon Hawk and into the gravity well, being blown apart instantly. The members of the

crew had no knowledge of this until much later. Rufar knew that he had to set out to find Revan, yet he had absolutely no idea where to start. Kae had told him what he must do, but he needed to know where. When he asked Atton knew nothing, and asked the crew instead. No one knew anything, except for T3-M4, who showed the Exile a holorecording of Bastila Shan, his old friend, who was desperate to find Revan, her love. She said that Revan had gone to combat the True Sith, who had created the Trayus Academy, and once controlled a massive empire. She said that the only person he took with him was T3, who was programmed to return to Bastila should anything go wrong. In the evnt of him being unable to find Bastila, he was to seek out any available Jedi, who was to help. The first step in Rufar's mission, was to find Bastila.

He searched T3's records, trying desperately to find a record of where Bastila had gone, yet he couldn't. T3 hadn't been able to find her either, which was how he fell into the hands of Rufar. T3 said that the last place he had seen Bastila was on Talravin, her home planet, where she had returned to so that she could await Revan. Rufar flew the Ebon Hawk round to Talravin, where they exited, to try and find Bastila. It was then that the crew noticed Bao-Dur's death. He had left behind a replacement remote, saying why he did what he did, and why he did it. He also spoke then of what he said that he couldn't in life, and said this:

I loved Bastila, with all my heart. Yet she had eyes only for Revan. I knew that, if I really loved her, I would let her choose, and I did, and she chose Revan. All I could give her was WOM, the droid I built to protect her, guard her, and let me track her. The tracker will die with me, as I will have no harm come to Bastila. Find WOM, find Bastila

None of the crew had ever heard of 'WOM', but Rufar remembered that, when he had refound Bao-Dur on Telos, he had spoke of having suspicions of WOM being on Telos, so they diverted their cause from Talravin to Telos.

The missing Jedi[]

On Telos, they found that the restoration project had excelled since the defeat of the Sith, and the planet was in the early stages of re-colonization. There was much more land in the now where Bastila could hide, but Rufar decided that the polar region would be the best place for someone to hide. When they reached the polar region, Rufar got T3 to do a lifeforms scan, and the polar region came up as empty, but for large power fluctuations near the Teltoori mountain. They made their way over to the mountain, and discovered that the power fluctuations were emenating from the top of the mountain, through a small funnel in the top. When Rufar examined them, he discovered the power fluctuations to be fluctuations of the force, and the force channeled around the mountain, but the rock was force impermeable, so the force came up inside as well, creating a force empty layer between the rock and the air outside, effectively shielding any lifeforms or anything alive from the outside world. They had found something that didn't want to be found.

Rufar used the force to levitate his companions and himself, pushing them through the small hole. However, the force empty layer stopped this levitation, causing them to free fall for many feet before Rufar picked them up again. Inside the mountain, they found a monastic sort of building, devoid of life. Strangely, all of T3's systems shorted out and wouldn't work. After much exploration, the discovered a large, metal protection droid, with the letters WOM inscribed on its

BastilaShAAAAANNNNN — The revived Bastila Shan

heavily scarred and pitted surface. The droid had obviously been in a fight, and there was no sign of Bastila around. They explored deeper, and found Bastila, lying wounded in a medlab deep in the mountain. Rufar used his considerable skill to try and heal her, although she was terribly close to death. For two days he worked with all his skill, and Bastila fought with death every minute, until he finally stabilised her condition. It was three days later that she awoke, deep inside the mountain, weak and injured, but alive.

Bastila told him that, whilst on Talravin, she had been attacked by two robed figures who, when she escaped to her ship, chased her in their own fighters, all the way to Telos. Revan had discovered this stronghold many years earlier, and Bastila had fled to it. But, a whole legion of armed warriors, with weapons the likes of she had never seen before, assailed her, and she and WOM had fought desperately, but almost died. It was then, she said, that WOM had, single handedly, carried her from the battle and into the mountain which, for some reason, her assailants couldn't enter. She was terribly wounded, she said, and both WOM and Rufar had saved her life. When he asked her if she had any idea why they attacked her, she said that she feared it was because of Revan. It was then that she told him that she was carrying Revan's child.

The search resumes[]

Inside the mountain, Rufar began the Jedi training of Mira, Brianna and Atton in earnest. He found them all to be excellent pupils and the two, now heavily pregnant, women had an aptitude for learning Battle Meditation. Bastila spent a lot of time questioning Rufar, on what he had done, why he had done it and how he redeemed himself. Rufar also spoke much with Bastila about the Jedi Civil War, the Star Forge, and the Star Maps that she had set out with Revan to find. Rufar decided that, with Brianna, Mira and Bastila's giving birth imminent, they should stay in the mountain until it was out of the way. Finally, at the end of the month, Mira had given birth to a young girl, as had Brianna, and Bastila a boy. Mira's baby, Tolan Rand took after it's mother in appearance whilst Brianna's, Nina Kakhuzi looked much like Brianna's Grandmother, but with coloured hair. Much to Bastila's delight, her son, Atta Shan looked very much like Revan. With the childbirth out of the way, they set off in search of Revan.

Bastila said that Revan had not told her where he was going, because he loved her, and feared for her safety, but she said that she knew that he had set off from near the Vendaxa Wormhole, where he had set off into the Unknown Regions in his spaceship, the Unknown. When Revan had set off, he had encoded T3-M4 and the Navcomputer, so that they couldn't remember where they had been. Yet Bastila cracked the code in T3, but the one in the Navcomputer was so deeply encrypted, that they couldn't even slice it. T3 knew where Revan had gone to, but he didn't know where he had gone from there. But it was a start, and they made their way to the planet where Revan had gone to. Revan had destroyed all memory of where he had been from T3 after that point, but they had a place to start. After entering the unknown regions, they found themselves in a different galaxy, where the dark was darker and the light

sharper. The space between planets wasn't so much dark as empty. It seemed as if all life had been leeched from it. In their journeys to the planet, they discovered many planets that were dry and barren, little more than deserts, all civilization wiped from them. There were remains of large cities, yet the planets were dead, and dry. The life was leeched out of them, and the force was gone from them as well. The worlds were force dead, and the force couldn't be used on them.

It was obvious that some sort of war had wiped these planets out, but Rufar saw no battle, nor any other lifeforms. Rufar decided that, wherever Revan was, he was caught up in this war. They decided to set off further into the unknown regions, and find this war. As they got deeper, the number of destroyed planets began to decrease, until they began to see strange planets, covered in strange flora, yet uninhabited. The further they travelled, the more that they thought that the war had wiped out this galaxy. Then, after two months, they were swamped by a large platoon of starfighters, of the sort that had never been seen by the Republic before.

Revan's army[]

Ah, my General! The galaxy has not favoured you my friend! Yet you seem much more better in soul since we last spoke!

The ships instantly and easily captured the Ebon Hawk, yet they didn't fire or attack, which no one inside the ship could understand. They were instantly shepherded into a large, assault frigate, and the ship was boarded straight away, by strangely robed figures. Wordlessly, the members of the ship were taken, under heavy guard, up to the bridge. On the bridge, they were forced down onto their knees, before a black robed figure. As the figure turned around, they discovered that it was the object of their quest; the Lord Revan.

Revan recognised Rufar and Bastila at once, and instantly embraced Bastila, before greeting Rufar once more. Rufar still saw that Revan wore the same robes that he had always worn. He was introduced to his newborn son, Atta, by Bastila, and was introduced to Rufar's other companions. As Rufar told his story, Revan listened silently. Then he spoke of his own. Revan had left the galaxy in search of the ancient Sith faction that he had discovered during his reign as a Sith Lord. The faction was the True Sith, an ancient remnant of the Sith race, and the most powerful Sith faction ever to darken the galaxy. Revan knew that they would shatter the galaxy and rule it with an iron fist if they were not stopped, for he also knew that they would soon attack the galaxy. So, he had travelled out to the Outer rim, after gathering all of the Jedi that he could, he had created a new faction, the Army of Light, or Revan's army as it was more commonly known, to battle the Sith.

Revan's army was strong, yet the Sith were fantastically powerful, in an unnatural, strange way. The wars that they had fought had completely devstated the planets that the wars were fought on, destroying all life and civilization from the planets, turning them into little more than force dead deserts, with the huge force powers wreaking a destruction to the force on those planets.

Whilst Revan's army was pushing forth, the Sith were unwilling to retreat, meaning heavy losses on either side. Revan knew that the Sith were led by the Necatorian Lords, the Lords of death, and that they were also searching for something named Morwyn Zamorr, of which Revan had no knowledge. The Jedi around him were devoted to the destruction of the dark side, and Revan thought that the destruction of the True Sith would bring about the destruction of the dark side. Rufar, although now hating war, agreed to return to his position as a Jedi General, to destroy the dark side forever.

The first battle that Rufar agreed to fight was one that the fleet was travelling to then, a battle against the Sith on a desert planet, that was on the way to complete destruction. It was not yet force dead, but all life and vegetation had been wiped from it. It was one of the planets in the front line that the Sith were unwilling to surrender, and they were deeply entrenched there, and fanatical about not surrendering even a small amount of space, even if it cost them their lives. When Rufar arrived on the planet, head of a large section of the army, he found it to be a wasteland, completely ruined. Revan said to him, with some regret, that, should the True Sith win, the whole of the galaxy would be like this. Rufar also noticed that Revan was so desperate for redemption, that he fought alongside his troops. Rufar's first view of the True Sith was of the large weapons and trenches they had on the other side of the planet. Rufar saw there strange new weaponry, yet he saw no Sith. The tactical genius of Revan had planned this as an ambush, attacking the Sith when they least expected it.

The True Sith war[]

They are the embodying species of the dark side. We must defeat them!

As the troops swept over the plains, Rufar caught his first sight of the True Sith. They were tall, red, humanoid beings, who faught with large, ancient Sith swords. As they attacked, Rufar saw that they were ferocious and fearless, a dangerous enemy, who faught ferally. Rufar was taken aback, but fought powerfully, hammering the True Sith back. The Army of Light were pushing them back, yet the Sith were unwilling to retreat, and the losses, because of this, were terrible to both sides. After the Sith finally fell back, their powerful laser weapons tore up huge chunks of the planet, shattering large portions of the Army of Light. The Army fell back, to the main ships, for a brief reprise.

The losses had been terrible. many Jedi had been killed, yet they could see that the enemy were faring worse. They had been pushed far back, and Revan thought that they should attack again straight away, and drive them off the planet. They attacked once more, and the Sith attacked once again. They then unveiled their mighty force powers, and the air rippled with the force. Any non force user would have been torn apart, and the whole planet was being

warped by the force. The air was rent with cries and the explosion of the force fluctuating dangerously. Revan knew that there would be a large explosion at the point that the force left the planet, killing many weak or injured Jedi. Yet they fought on, and Rufar led a succesful attack on their western front. The Sith were battered backwards, yet their superior force powers allowed them to fight on. At that time, there was a loud bang, and both factions were pushed backwards as the force fluctuated so powerfully, leaving the planet for good.

This left the Sith relying on their weapons, putting them back a step. Soon, the Army of Light was routing the Sith, so that any other faction would have ordered full scale retreat. But the Sith would not retreat, and much unnecessary blood was spilt. Yet, finally, the Army of the Light prevailed against the Sith. Rufar had won his first battle against them.

The Necatorian Lords[]

After the battle, they found that they had gained a powerful planet tactically, one that they could use to attack the Sith from there. Still knew, Rufar wanted to know more about the leading powers of the Sith. When he asked this to Revan, Revan told him of the Necatorian Lords, the lords of death, the powerful rulers of the Sith. They, apparently, were interested in finding something called Morwyn Zamorr, something of which Revan had no knowledge. Revan also believed that the heart of the dark side lay behind the empire of the True Sith. He knew little of the Necatorian Lords, except that there were three, Nar Konrar, Seth Kerron and Horon Telpar, Sith warriors amazingly powerful in the force. They were the leaders of the True Sith, and very dangerous. Beneath them, there were the Sith warlords, Tempor Karfon, and Rarnor Frekka. The warlords led the Sith battle forces in the normal battles. Rufar knew that the Sith were fanatics, and wouldn't give up, but he also knew that they would be severely weakened by the loss of their warlords, so he set about making a plan with the Lord Revan.

Their plan was to trap the Necatorian Lords into open combat, where they would be forced to participate, and Revan planned to do this by attacking one of their key planets with his full force. Yet Brianna feared for the life of Rufar, and begged them not to do this. Yet Rufar told her that he had to, and that the force called him. And Brianna, tearful, tld him that where he went, she went also, and she told him that she also would fight alongside him. Atton pledged his allegiance also, as did Mira and Bastila. They told Revan and Rufar that they also must fight this threat, and had to, for the sake of the galaxy. The Army of Light prepared its fleet, and set its course for the volcanic world close to the core of the Sith's empire. They arrived to discover that the planet was a volcanic, ash strewn plain, with volcanoes surrounding a large valley that they had landed in. Revan told them that it was there that the battle would be fougt.

The Army of Light had made no attempt at hiding their arrival, and the Sith fleet arrived soon after they had, in full force also. The two warlords were with them, but none of the Necatorian Lords. However, it was too late to pull back, and killing the Necatorian Lords would be a good still for the Army of Light. The Sith stormed across the valley, and they met the Army of Light head on, and the two armies came together with an almighty clash. The Sith used the force from the beginning, and the valley was filled with the fluctuations of the force. The Sith war swords, although less technologically advanced, still proved to be a great weapon, and many Jedi were slain. As the battle waged on, the armies found that they had moved to the edge of the valley, and were standing at the base of one of the volcanoes. As Rufar fought on, he found himself side by side with Brianna, and, together, they battled, killing many Sith warriors beneath them. Suddenly, a large bolt of force lightning came down from the side of the mountain, and struck Brianna dead. Consumed by anger, hate and rage, Rufar sprinted up the mountain, after the figure. At the top, he confronted the figure, only for the figure to turn, to reveal that they were the former Jedi master, Atris.

The blazing Light[]

Atris? Why?."

Atris told Rufar that she was the new Darth Traya, as those who had been touched by Traya and by betrayal must assume the mantle themselves. And that all Traya's must travel to the end of the Unknown Regions, to fully assume their mantle, which was what she was doing. And she had killed Brianna for

revenge. Revenge against Rufar, and revenge against Brianna. Consumed by rage and anger, Rufar leapt up and struck at her, and they fought above the battle raging below. Atris had learned much, and was a far more powerful opponent than he had previously remembered. Yet Rufar was far more powerful because pf his encounters with the Sith, and the two found themselves evenly matched. But the battle below caused massive fluctuations within the force and, as the force fluctuated once, finally, before shattering, it sent Atris reeling backwards. Rufar, withstanding the blast, knocked her lightsaber into the volcano, before holding her at lightsaber point. He felt a burning desire for revenge, yet the light side had hold over him, and he found that he couldn't kill her. It was then, as he made his decision, that the air itself seemed to shatter, and time seemed to slow, as huge, white rents appeared in the air around him, and the very fabric of the air began to splinter. From the largest rent, a figure, who seemed to be completely, blazingly white, almost made up of light, stepped out. Rufar was filled with both fear, love and wonder, and, beside him, the appearance of the figure caused Atris to scream once, and give up her life. The figure, outsretching his arms, said to him: "And so, all things evil die before me. Yet you, one of the light, shall not, my son." And Rufar knew then that he had found his father, the embodiment of the light side that his mother fell in love with many years ago.

He told Rufar how he was the light incarnate, and was the spiritual father of all in the galaxy, as well as being Rufar's biological father. The air was still shimmering, and one huge rent was gaping open. His father then asked him if he would give up his life, allowing it to join the light side and fight the Sith eternally. Rufar turned around and saw the battle and destruction behind him, before accepting, and stepping in to join the light, giving up his life in the process.

Legacy[]

After Rufar followed his father, the battle that had been fought in the valley below reached a climax. Revan's tactical genius led to the deaths of one Warlord, however the other escaped. The rents above the volcano caused it to erupt, killing both Sith and Jedi alike in the valley. In the battle, Atton Rand, the friend of Rufar, was also killed, leaving behind Mira, who never forgot him, and never married again. It was decided that the family of Atton, Rufar's greatest friend, should have custody over his daughter, who grew up on a planet ruled by the Army of Light, along with Tolan Rand and Atta Shan. Revan was visited in a dream a few days later by Rufar's father, who explained what had happened, and the Army of Light honored Rufar as a hero, often referring to a sacrifice in his name. Revan created a medal for the Army of Light, for great sacrifice, named the Kakhuzian medal. With no other Jedi and no other family to mourn him, Rufar was forgotten in the main galaxy, and he had no grave, as his body went with him. He never appeared once as a force ghost, even to his daughter, a surprising fact.

The war against the True Sith began to grind to a standstill, as the Necatorian Lords were unwilling to join the battle. They were no closer in finding Morwyn Zamorr though, who Rufar discovered, before he left, was his fathers opposite, the embodiment of the dark side, who had been locked away for thousands of years. It is unknown what happened after Rufar joined the blazing light, as neither he nor his spirit ever returned to the galaxy.

His son grew up with Atta and Tolan, and followed Atta Shan to assume their fathers mantles in the war against the True Sith. When Atta took control of the fleet, his child took up his fathers mantle also, and they fought in the wars. Nina, his daughter, eventually married Atta, and they fought side by side in the True Sith Wars. After the war, she also followed Atta to Zamorr's Grave, the Heart of Darkness, and she also was corrupted into a dark lady of the Sith. Rufar's lineage was continued when she gave birth to Birren Shan, Rufar's grandson. Rufar was, after Revan's death, virtually forgotten, as Atta and Nina never spoke to their child of Rufar, for fear that he would follow the path of the light also. The Necatorian Lords were all but defeated, with only one escaping, so Rufar inadvertently finished a war with his children, and started a new one.

Personality and traits[]

Throughout his lifetime, Rufar was a kind, compassionate man, who was willing to sacrifice himself, and his position as a Jedi, to save the innocent from the Mandalorians. He, as his masters noted, was extremely disobedient, to all but Master Kae, who he idolised. This was one of the reasons why he fell in love with Kae's daughter, Brianna, whom he showed much love for. He was very loving for all those close to him and, as Danreb and Atton found out, an extremely loyal friend. He, during his wanderings, was an empty and broken shell, devoid of any real life.

However, he regained this after defeating the Sith Triumvirate. After he was exiled for joining the Jedi Crusaders, he despised war, and was originally against joining the Army of Light. He was completely against torturing opponents, but the effect of Malachor corrupted him so that he was able to destroy so many lives. However, his natural, kind instincts cut in, and he felt great remorse for a long time after about this. He was, as a child, a quite solitary, withdrawn child after joining the Jedi, as he had never had any childhood friends except for Danreb, and he missed his mother very much. Rufar was never hate filled or desired revenge, except for a moment after Brianna had been killed, when he went after Atris.

Although his father was the light side, his mothers 'shady' past from before she met his father made him not completely perfect. He was often arguable, and succumbed to fear on a few occasions. He normally managed to keep his feelings in check and was, in that way, quite a disciplined man. Yet he had little respect for authority in itself, and only respect for a few of those who held authority, as is shown with Master Kae. He respected Master Kae, not her authority. He was a young trouble maker as a young boy, and grew more disciplined as his life went on.

Talents and abilities[]

As a young boy, Rufar showed a great interest in constructing his own things, and he made his own teddy bear, and he later mirrored this passion as an adult. As a Jedi, he had great force powers of a large magnitude, yet had problems controlling them at times. His lightsaber combat was very good, and he preferred this, as a young Jedi, to the force. As a Jedi Crusader, he used his construction skills to create many battle droids, although he gave this up after the arrival of master mechanic Bao-Dur. Rufar followed the path of the Jedi Master in later life, and was, during his quest for his masters, more of a follower of the Jedi code, and he did, eventually, submit to the councils judgement. His skill at repair was developed after the death of Bao-Dur, and he became the Ebon Hawk's mechanic. He was a very skilled battle tactician and general, both during the True Sith wars and the Mandalorian War. He was highly skilled with a double bladed lightsaber, of which he used after his return to the Republic.

Rufar also possesed a surprisingly good skill in Battle Meditation, which was used in the Mandalorian Wars by Revan. He was also one of the first Jedi to be able to absorb heat and fire, which is what helped him in his fight on the volcano rim with Atris. He could use the force to absorb heat and fire and then channel it harmlessly away, or expel it explosively outwards, in a large, damaging blast. Rufar seemed to have been born with this skill. He was the first known Jedi to possess that skill, yet he was not the last. He could use Force Lightning, however he gave it up after the Mandalorian War, believing it to be of the dark side. It is unknown whether he could use Force Choke, as he always refused to use it, even during his darker times.

Behind the scenes[]

Rufar Kakhuzi was invented by Darth tom to be a marriage ancestor to Nea Kaar, and his name is one of the few that the author uses that isn't derived from a Latin word.

Kakhuzi was created to show this users views for what may happen in the prospective KOTOR III. However, Darth tom does not believe that the Jedi Exile was male. This is just how the author played the game, as he, himself, is male.
