The Tragedy at Ilum was a pivotal battle between the Jedi Order and the Jedi Exiles during the Hundred-Year Darkness. The protracted battle lasted for one year until the betrayal of Grand Master Syresh Lapar, when he destroyed most of the Jedi and Exile forces and took control of what remained of the Exiles. The battle left both sides in ruins.
