Poggle the Lesser had been present from the beginning of the Clone Wars. During the Battle of Geonosis, he gave Count Dooku the plans to a superweapon that could destroy an entire planet. In 19 BBY he and many leaders were arrested on Mustafar by Yoda after Darth Sidious, Nute Gunray, and Rune Haako left them behind by accident. Poggle spent the rest of the war in a jail cell.
Behind the scenes[]
- Poggle the Lesser was portrayed in the games by King Julien from the movie Madagascar.
- When planning the stories out, User:Yodakenobi pictured the Geonosians as more of a lemur-like species. Another feature is that because Jar Jar Binks was killed in the first game, the series needed some humorous character. Some ideas were to make King Julien portray Chewbacca, but the Wookiee, according to Yodakenobi, was too important to replace.
