Lysira Naris was a Human female who lived as a Dark Jedi and Sith in the years during and after the reign of Darth Vorath. During the Glorian War, she served in the Dark Jedi Order as the Revanchist of Kashyyyk, posing as a member of Galactic Alliance Intelligence. Towards the end of the war, she left the Dark Jedi Order to form a new Sith Order, taking on the name Darth Sedriss.

Unlike Sith Orders of the past, Darth Sedriss intended her order to simply preserve the knowledge of the Sith and keep it out of the hands of those with ill intent. However, in 40 ABY, one of the students of Sedriss' Order, Varon Krul, seceded from the order with his peers and set out to conquer the galaxy like many Sith before them.

Sedriss was eventually confronted and defeated by Varon, now known as Darth Taral, and she was imprisoned on his flagship. However, upon realizing that his new master Snoke had betrayed him, Taral ended up freeing Sedriss and took her to his homeworld of Damosus, where they were reunited with their son Kalon. Leaving her Sith Order behind, Lysira decided to settle down with Varon on Damosus, away from intergalactic affairs.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Lysira Naris was born on Transel during the last year of the Galactic Civil War. Her father, Vizun Naris, was a member of the Sith Order of Darth Vorath as well as secretly a Revanite. At the age of twelve, Naris was taken to Dromund Kaas to be trained as a Sith acolyte.[1]

During the Imperial-Sith War, Naris became acquainted with a boy two years her junior known as Varon Krul, secretly the son of Darth Vorath. She became good friends with him during their time as apprentices. When Vorath fell on Coruscant, Naris was taken by her father back to Transel, while Varon and his master retreated to Thule. Naris was greatly saddened by this, having grown close to Varon during the short time they had known each other.[1]

Joining the Dark Jedi Order[]

Over the six years that passed after Vorath's demise, Lysira was ready to accept that her future was no longer with the Sith. However, that soon changed when she was approached by a mysterious man wearing the mask of Darth Revan. This man—secretly a clone of Toah Jarsan—introduced himself as the Revanchist and presented Lysira and her father with an offer to join his budding Dark Jedi Order.[1]

At first Lysira was hesitant, having already grown accustomed to normal life. However, her father managed to convince her to accept this offer and become the Force user she was meant to be. Upon agreeing to join the Dark Jedi Order, the Revanchist bestowed upon her the role of protecting the Star Map located on the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk, naming her the Revanchist of that planet.[1]

Due to the strong presence the Galactic Alliance had on Kashyyyk-- stronger than any other Star Map world-- Naris decided to join the Galactic Alliance Intelligence Service in order to make herself appear less suspicious. Her father, who had since gotten a job within the Alliance as well, was able to pull enough strings to make sure Lysira was never sent off world.[1]

The Glorian War[]

In 35 ABY, shortly before the outbreak of the Glorian War, Kashyyyk was visited by a squad of Alliance soldiers, accompanied by the Jedi Knight Anakin Solo. The party were on a mission to track down reports of Glorians on Kashyyyk, hiding within the Shadowlands. Lysira agreed to help them and led them down into the Shadowlands.[2]

While exploring the Wookiee underworld, the company were attacked by a Terentatek, a creature born of Sith alchemy. However, Lysira knew the terentatek to be the Glorian exile Animus and was able to ward him off. As the group moved deeper into the Shadowlands, they were attacked again by another Glorian, an infiltrator known as Shadow. When Lysira and the others failed to defeat, Animus suddenly came to their rescue and scared Shadow away.[2]

Not a moment had passed after this incident when the Glorian Empire activated the Star Map on Kashyyyk and used it to transport the Wookiee planet to the Unknown Regions, where the Glorians would use it for resources to reconstruct the Star Forge. With the help of Animus, Lysira and the others managed to escape Kashyyyk before it was transported.[2]

Animus took the company to the mysterious planet Mortis, where he exposed Lysira to the others as the Revanchist of Kashyyyk, as well as a Dark Jedi. After meeting with Animus' fellow Exiles and learning of the Glorians' plot to rebuild the Star Forge, Lysira and the others then headed for Rhen Var, where the Glorians were making their first major push against the Alliance.[3]

In the midst of the battle, Lysira separated from the others and confronted the leader of the Glorian forces on Rhen Var, General Dalax. Appearing to him under her Revanchist identity, she slew the general, providing the Alliance with the edge they needed to win the Battle of Rhen Var. After speaking one last time with Anakin Solo, whom she knew had feelings for her (although they were not reciprocated), Lysira parted ways with the others, leaving for parts unknown.[4]

Dark Lady of the Sith[]

With Kashyyyk gone, Lysira felt that she no longer had a purpose within the Dark Jedi Order. Influenced by the Revanite teachings of her father, she decided to form a Sith Order that would, rather than attempt at conquering the galaxy, preserve the Sith teachings and keep them out of the hands of those who would seek to do ill will.[1][5]

Together with her father, Lysira began recruiting others to their cause, including fellow Dark Jedi and remaining Sith from Darth Vorath's order. Among these recruits was Varon Krul, whom she reunited with on Thule. Their reunion rekindled their relationship, which led to Lysira becoming pregnant with Varon's child, although she hid this fact from him.[1][6]

She also saw another potential recruit in Jacen Solo, whom she lured to Serenno in the hopes of bringing him to their cause. While he ultimately did not join Lysira's new Sith order, their confrontation did inspire Jacen to spend the next five years exploring other cultures based around the Force.[5]

Once she had a large enough gathering, Lysira went in search of the current Dark Lady, Lumiya. She tracked down Lumiya to Varon's homeworld of Damosus, where she was going by the name "Brisha Syo." Confronting Lumiya, Lysira was about to kill the Dark Lady until Lumiya discovered that she was pregnant. Realizing it was her son's, she offered to take care of the child once it was born, as well as relinquish the mantle of Dark Lord of the Sith to her. Lysira agreed to this and, once she had given birth to a son whom she named Kalon, took on the name Darth Sedriss as she returned to her Sith Order.[6]

Two years later, unbeknownst to Darth Sedriss, Varon had come into contact with an individual known as Snoke and, under Snoke's guidance, began planning an insurgency against not only Sedriss' Sith Order but the galaxy as a whole.[6] For the better part of a year, Sedriss remained unaware of Varon and his designs until 40 ABY when she sensed a disturbance in the Force around the time of Via Eerin being ousted as Chief of State. Convening with the other Sith Masters, Sedriss deduced that their apprentices were plotting an insurgency and tracked down her own pupil Vossron to get to the bottom of it. After locating Vossron and getting Varon's location from him, she executed her apprentice before preparing to confront Varon.[7]

Not long after Varon had revealed himself to the public, declaring himself the new Dark Lord Darth Taral, several of Sedriss' fellow Sith Masters were turned on and killed by their apprentices. In 41 ABY, Sedriss convened once more with the remaining Sith Masters on Dromund Kaas, ordering Lords Serpriss and Kallus to warn the Jedi Order of Taral's plan and for Lady Saarai to burn down the Sith library on Jaguada. After adjourning the meeting, she and Lord Paxis headed outside to confront Darth Taral, who had arrived on Dromund Kaas during the meeting.[6]

After a brief duel, Paxis insisted that Sedriss flee while he held his own against Taral. Making her way to her starfighter, Sedriss prepared to depart for Ossus to join Serpsiss and Kallus only for her ship to be shot down and captured by TIE fighters, which proceeded to bring her onto Taral's flagship, the Resurgent. Once there, she put herself into a hibernation trance to appear dead but Taral saw through this deception and ordered for her to be sent to a medical bay and placed in stasis.[6]

During the Battle of Mandalore, Darth Taral's plan began to unravel and he ultimately decided to abandon his schemes after realizing that Snoke had simply been using him as a tool. Rushing to the lab where Sedriss was being kept, Taral awakened her and revealed to her that he had found out about their son Kalon and that he wanted to start his life anew with her and their child. Knowing that her own plans for the Sith had become futile, Lysira agreed to abandon her Sith identity and fled from the Resurgent with Varon. They made their way to Damosus, where they were reunited with Kalon and started their life anew as a simple family.[6]
