I am Ghrond Farshyk. I am Dashade, descendant of the ancient warrior lords of Urkupp. I have destroyed Jedi and Sith, feasted upon their blood, made a meal of their flesh and marrow. The Hutt has hired me to defeat you. I consecrate your deaths to the gods.
—Ghrond Farshyk, to Narasi Rican and Zaella Sabir[src]

Ghrond Farshyk was a male Dashade mercenary warrior. Rising through fighting pits and death arenas throughout the Outer Rim Territories during the New Sith Wars, he used his species's strength and natural immunity to Force powers to earn a reputation as a Jedi killer, though he had no hesitation about killing Sith, either. He wore a custom suit of armor made of Mandalorian iron and carried a Mandalorian iron war hammer, which he named Iconoclast. Farshyk had some degree of religious belief, as he devoted the deaths of worthy enemies to the gods.

In 1,386 BBY, Runganna the Hutt hired Ghrond to fight in a Koboskya no Jankpa on Circumtore, pitting him against Jedi Padawan Narasi Rican and Sith apprentice Zaella Sabir. Ghrond easily overpowered and injured both women, but when they joined forces, they were able to sufficiently dent Ghrond's breastplate that he was forced to remove it rather than suffocate, and they removed his helmet as well. Ghrond continued to fight, but was weighed down by a number of injuries, and finally killed when Narasi shoved her lightsaber through his mouth and out the back of his head.

Behind the Scenes[]

Ghrond was named for Grond, the warhammer of Morgoth in The Silmarillion. Ghrond's battle with Narasi and Zaella was inspired by this image.
